It's true, I had to get me a couple of replacements for the very same issue.

DC's were faulty that way. It's one of the most common things is for the GD rom to quit working. Some DC's only lasted a couple years other hum seemingly forever. I had to go through 3 having the GD rom drive issue before in 2002 getting a re furb and been working since

Yeah, but let's face it, it was an amazing event. We finally got that piece of hope we all thought we could cling to, and it even made the boards as active as they'd ever been. Possibly the most exciting time in the whole history of the saga.
