Fair enough, but I think that remix is horrible. Takes all the soul out of it, and that chorus...yuck

It's not a remix, it's the original. Personally, I think it works perfectly on a different level to the Greatest Hits version. The moment in particular where he spits the line "I'm with Akinyele in the streets tryna get us a deal" is a proper "gives me chills" moment.

Did he use that "...tryna get us a deal " line again in another song or on a freestyle or something? Cuz I swear I've heard that before, but I'm not familiar with Surviving The Times.

Really? I'm not really surprised though, as Nas raps over beats that I don't like about 85% of the time.

His taste can be pretty weird tbh. The majority of Street's Disciple is just a clusterfuck.

This was hard though
Was randomly reading about Cam'ron's no show at his recent London gig, and somehow came across this clip from a few years back when Juelz Santana was supposedly kidnapped in London or something. Funniest thing I've seen all day!

Yeah, it did have a few solid tracks. Disciple, Just a Moment, Message to the Feds, Suicide Bounce, Bridging the Gap... all good. But they just somehow lacked something, and the rest of the album seemed flat. Typical Salaam Remi shit.

Yeah that Salaam Remi guy is boring as shit, I never understood Nas' love for his production. He should have just stuck faithfully to Large Pro for all these years, and he never would have gone astray.

I been straying from my rap listening for a long time, but for some reason this song super got me back into hip hop mode. Lupe is the best even when he's phoning it in. #stan
