Do you think the old homeless guy in the Harbor has some connection with Lan Di, I dont know why but whenever i see him through playing the game i always think he might be probably because of the style he fights with its very similar to lan di (when hes about to teach you the shadow step)

I highly doubt it Chai, but, he does have a similar stance. He was one separate character that just Shenmue I will have, that aided Ryo's progress, I don't think he will be included in anymore games.

I understand what you are saying there... Lan Di uses the EXACT same Shadow Step against Iwao, except that he lifts his leg at the end of it for his next step.

Maybe he was put in a situation like Splinter from Turtles was in. Can't think who would have set him up though.

Even his bio in the Prima Guide doesn't reveal much, aside from that his name is Shozo Mizuki and he claims to have lived in the harbor for more than three years.

if ryo returns to yokasuka in a future shenmue game maybe you will see him again running the harbour since ryo got rid of the mad angels.

I liked that old bum he was one of my fav characters in shenmue1.

Him and Shredder were students in a Dojo. When the big master came by, they all had to bow to him, but Shredder had stuck a knife in Splinter's kimono, trapping him against the wall and making him unable to bow, and thus he was thrown out on the street for the disrespect and forced to live in the sewers. Where (of course) he turned into a big rat thing.

You are forgetting that the other reason for him being thrown out was because when he took the knife that Oroku Saki (at least that's what Shredder's real name sounds like) put in his kimono... well, I'll let the master's guard say it...

*Omato Yoshi (Splinter) takes the knife from his kimono*
"So... you plot to kill our honourable sensei!"

Weird that I remember that, but then again I did watch the video over and over again when I was little lol. I can still remember just about word for word the narrative for that part of the story. :shock:
