As aperson who's fave series is NOT Shenmue looking at your avatar on a smaller pic almost fools me that is from a modern game. People may mock us for being amazed by Shenmue visuals now but go look at Half Life in 1998. Considered maybe the best looking game on PC back then.

Shenmue came out in 1999.

Lets compare

HL 1998

Shenmue 1999

I rest my case

Your case shouldn't even have to be heard, people need to open their eyes and realize this on their own.

I do miss the days when you actually had to go to the store to buy a new videogame. Then you used a cheat code to unlock secret items in said video games. Now all this is done through the convenience of DLC for a "low" price!!!! -_-

I miss the day where games themselves carried importance. Where the number of hardware on the market made it plausable to stay on top of the cool games that were coming out. Also Limited Editions were just that... rare limited editions of consoles that were few and far between. Nowadays its all about the hardware, its capabilities, its hard drive size and, most of all its online performance and capabilities.

In a way it was the amalgamation of the home console and the internet that has ruined this element of the industry. Ironic for the diehard DC fan to swallow.
