Shenmue HD wishlist

It would be so awesome if the Boat Chapter gets included.. seems far fetched.. but who knows maybe Sega is finally going all in for Shenmue.

Glad it wasn't in the game. be rather boring & short IMO. Pretty useless chapter as well. Prefer they just keep they game as is in that regard. Minor tweaks like skip time like in SII would be nice.

My wishlist would be to see Ryo drinking the real Coke Cola can in HD. Including more toys like Jet Set Radio and have them be displayed in Ryo home and bedroom. Yeah also chapter 2 and a hidden scene with Niao Sun would be rich.

If it doesn't happen, I'll replace the textures as I'll devote hours to getting shenmue running on my hacked systems for modding purposes.

I heard a rumor that SEGA actually paid the brands that were in the game.

Anyway, my wishlist:

Realistic:
- A visually nice port (some changes in the models so they don't seem too blocky, hd textures, etc.).
- Japanese-english VA.
- port you stuff from SI o SII
- wait function in SI (the game would last about 7 hours, but it's ok).
- no pop up, less loading times.
- a "collection" for SI like in SII were you can replay some forklift races or days of work, chai fights, motorbike scene, etc.
- a health bar in SI.
- passport function for both games.
- map a move to trigger like in SI in SII

Unrealistic:
- a difficulty setting for free battle, like the collection in SII but for all the game.
- No loading points between places, just a fucking big map would kick ass.
- Chapter selection from a cleared game save, maybe with subchapters.
- The boat chapter as an extra after finishing the game, I don't think is a great idea to put in the original game because it will kind of ruin the foreign feeling that SII has from the start.
- shenmue saturn demo (lol)
- Cassette player in game (also in SII with more purchasable music).
- A fucking animation for eating what you buy (really, in shenmue I you are carrying the food all over the place WTF).
- maybe some scrapped material that got left (like that yuanda yu coporation, bike).
- new english VA.
- training areas in SII (also the focus on moves).
- A "The saga goes on Shenmue III" and a mindfucking trailer.

Health bar would be stupid for a game like Shenmue. Then it's telling you it's just another game. Then you would want health packs.Lame as shit.

Te health meter during fights is all you need. I mean what is he going to lose health on aside from that? Saying "I See" to much?

For the enemies like in SII. Maybe it would take the "joy" of the first chai battle, so I don't know.

I would like to see the movie theater open up in Dobuita. Watch the Shenmue Premiere, Project Berkley, Passport demonstrations and any old Shenmue game trailers/footage. Yeah this ain't happening....

Ziming that is a GREAT idea dude!! It would be a wonderful way to get access to all media content in-game. They could also make DLC featurettes that once downloaded could only be played in the theater. If only SEGA wanted to invest...
