what a great idea.. they should include that as an unlockable when you complete the game. love to ride around the harbour with that. also maybe they could include Saturn Ryo as an unlock.

sega could make this release so great but have a suspicion they might make it bland. straight port. nothing added. oh well, as a previous poster commented - beggars cant be choosers. we should just be happy we are getting a port at all.

this may sound stupid, but i really wish we can enter NPC's houses, visiting nozomi and friends...

I remember i tried knocking on each and every single door between Yamanose and Dobuita to see which i could enter or who was in when i first played the game.

i did the same, , and i waited for people to enter their apparts at night trying to get in when they open the door, (it's pathetic i know).

Now it seems a bit pathetic, but i can vividly remember at the time being totally immersed in Shenmue, and in absolute awe that this was a game. Its a period in gaming i cant see being emulated.

Forgot to mention the Boat Chapter. They should port Shenmue Zero too

Being able to quit and go back to the main menu or reload one of your saves in game, I hated having to do soft reset to load another file

Overall just the amazing Shenmue experience that we as Shenmue fans all love. Which of course we will get because it's Shenmue. I'm very glad to see this news and am excited for Shenmue's future.

Shenmue 0, hahahaha. Yes, we need more of that gem.

And definitely without a doubt the "wait feature". It's easy enough to pass the time (even after playing a dozen times) but it can be a little frustrating as the first game has a LOT of "Wait till such and such a time" events. The beginning in particular is so slow...perfect time for most to get immersed, but I do want shenmue to be more accessible to gamers. Even starting the game with Ine-san giving Ryo Zhu's letter could help with the pacing issues.

I don't expect them to add to much of anything else, but I bet there's a ton of concept art and "making of" features they could throw in as unlockables...and if Shenmue HD is really completed (still don't know about this), they have plenty of opportunity to add such things.

Someone mentioned training areas in Shenmue 2, that would be good.
