How exactly was the Long Zha thwarted?

Obviously Ryo and Gui Zhang beat up Terry and the rest of the Mad Angels, but how did that result in the Long Zha deal being stopped? And how exactly is Gui Zhang the sole person from stopping the MA from gaining full control of the Hong Kong route?

The Mad Angels were to grow in power through the ChiYouMen. They got a beat down from a schoolboy n a guy wearing a suit (seriously, try fighting in one)

The deal was supposed to go through the night of the 70 man battle, but Lan Di decided to flee instead. Probably more along the lines of "I can't afford to lose this mirror" than "Oh shit, an eighteen year old and a warehouse worker!"

Chens Legit company had control of the hong kong boat routes. they needed Chen out of the way to so there black market boats coud use the routes. Terry wanted ryo to beat up gui zhang to send a message. basically saying let us use the route or next time it will be worse. but ryo ended up sending the message in the other way basically saying terry give up

this is why Master Chen and Guizhang moved and worked in such secrecy. To prevent problems with Mad Angels.

He has no direct involvement, no, but Lan Di is the link between the Mad Angels and the ChiYouMen. He is the one who can enable the Long Zha to go ahead and can put a stop to the deal. Even with the Chens still in business it could've gone through.
