Shenmue 2 FULL ENGLISH Voice Project

Postby Lunchbox6954 » Fri Dec 04, 2009 7:30 am

Hello,

I am willing to spend my time making a FULL voiced ENGLISH Shenmue 2 for the DC using the xbox voices (with FREE mode voiced) if someone can explain WHAT needs to be done I will do it, the only problem is that there is no chance in hell it will be burnable to a 700-800mb disc since it will be strictly emulator only (well, unless the DC is modded to play dvds some how)

Basicly I want to make The Holy Grail of Shenmue 2 Dreamcast using FULL English voice I mean heck, how hard can it be my current job or porting Kanon psp to English is hard as hell and this sounds like simple audio swap (well convert and swap) so if anyone can put me in the right direction I will do this :)

and if anyone is interested in helping shoot me an IM

I'd prefer shenmue 1 in Japanese. Corey Marshall's voice just annoys me.

I prefer japanese voices with english subs , the voice acting could have been far worse(That shop keeper calling me 'Little Ryo' annoyed me lol), but I dont think Corey did a bad job I just think Ryo's personality was very flat .. and whats the deal with that plaster on his face??

The English dub in both Shenmue I and II sucks balls fucking hardcore, though. Some of the worst voice acting I've heard in anything, not just games. The chief reason I prefer Shenmue II on the Dreamcast is because it retains the original Japanese voice track, which sounds pretty good, too.

lol, regardless of the terrible voice acting I am sooo used to the english voices that I cannot even play shenmue 2 in japanese for some reason its the ONLY game I cannot play in japanese, hell I played the SHIT out of visual novels that are Japanese+english text but it just does not work for me on Shenmue

Yeah maybe, though it sounds about as good as any other Japanese voice acting I've ever heard. I'm not a nip though, so yeah maybe it sounds rubbish to someone who can actually understand it.

I don't want to see Corey Marshall anywhere near Shenmue III, should the game ever see the light of day.

Someone needs to go back and dub over all of his voice acting from past and present installments.
