Looks good! Is that the road to Kowloon and the Golden Quarter's main street?

Supa, yep this is it (but this Dragon's Street, not Golden Quarter).

Master Kyodai wrote:The savegame itself does not have a checksum as far as i can tell or at least not all parts of it i think. I made 2 "resume saves" right after the intro. One at like 8:57 and one at 9:05.
I actually expected to only have some kinda "times user saved the game" counter and "current time" changed as i didn't move or do anything. That and maybe a checksum. However - surprisingly loads of values changed.

This is normal, the save is chunk of 'junk'. I spent much time on retrieving many offsets, not to mention some of them I was lucky to find.

Master Kyodai wrote:To check if it really has a checksum i took both files into a hex editor and ran a compare. What i then did was jumping to the last difference and just changed a Hex 27 into a hex 28. Saved the file and loaded null DC. Loaded the rigged save game and it still loads fine. WOuld need much more time to say anything definite, but to me it doesn't look like a real checksum or else it would have been like "CRC fail" or so - still it loaded fine.

There is definitely a checksum, when I edited map which map to load save didn't load, after checksum resign it loads ok. But coordinates even though are changed (calculated crc is also different) it won't let me load the game.

Not really a breakthrough, but by patching mapinfo with the one from 0200 folder (gd3) the 'collisions' are present and you can go up the hill but you can't get any further than the gate of dragon's street (I mean, that only snail walk works, not regular run).
I almost forgot: there are times where textures are not displayed. Therefore this walk up in the hill is sometimes irritating.
Collisions work also only up and down hill, you can't run through ghost town with this patched mapinfo... (only by snail walk which is pain-in-the-....)

I found a tool to edit the save games and repair the CRC. Made a new topic with a little guide and appropriate link.

Im working on making saves as well. As I have mentioned briefly before, maybe we should have a dedicated thread for posting hacked saves. Ill also be more than happy to post them on my own server too.

Xbox owners: be sure to grab this. :) Modified maps with saves.
Pack consists of maps:
- Shenhua's house flashback
- Ziming's house flashback
- Hazuki's dojo flashback
- Ghost town (Kowloon intro ride)

How-to:
1. Download here
2. Unpack
3. Place the desired KSH1xxxx as KSH1 in scene/04
4. Place save(s) from KSH1xxxx folder to E/UDATA/4d530032 (annotations are to be remove, just like xxx in KSH1 folder name)
5. "Lock and load"
6. Say thanks ;)

CAUTION!
In Ghost town KSH1 folder you have to rename one of mapinfoxxx.bin files to mapinfo.bin
