Haha. Just see this as an alternate story. Ren comes to Guilin with Ryo. But before leaving, Ryo had something to take care of. It wasn't till Ryo removed the bag that Ren noticed the new artwork! I found out quite a long time ago how to edit the textures without messing up the rest of the body.


Here's another cool picture walking with Ren in Guilin i'd like to show for the heck of it.

Yes, as long as you have the bag on before going into any type of scene, he will still have it on.

To edit the dialogue is it simply a matter of opening a file in a hexeditor and editing the speech? I opened a file in a hex editor before but I didn't know what character it was so I didn't edit the speech.....

Oh well....I guess the best I'll ever be able to do when it comes to modding is to make the DOA girls nude.....(And I haven't even got the textures working properly)

I extract the subtitle file from the AFS and edit it. The subs have to be edited a certain way too, or it will freeze the game.

Ok, now check this out! It's an unused scene from disc 4 where Shenhua dies! It actually has voices too. An earthquake jolts the ground causing Ryo to injure his knee, and a tree to fall on Shenhua! There's even some blood!

I actually found this quite some time ago. For some reason though, I thought i'd actually seen this in the game. I went to Guilin and tried everything I could to view the scene, but I couldn't find it. Then things because fishy and I started asking people. Noone else had seen it either. So recently, I triple checked with Kiyuu to see if it was mentioned in the Japanese guides (which have EVERYTHING) and it's not. So this is definitely unused! The voices didn't actually play out, but they are there. I recorded them seperate and added them in myself.
