Shenmue Dojo

I was recently reading through Gamewinners cheat codes and hints for Shenmue II on DC, and there was something there about the fortune teller in Aberdeen falling in love with Ryo. I haven't tried this yet, so I don't know if it's fake. Has anyone tried or heard of this?

Ths is what it says:
Hint: Fortune teller in love with Ryo:
When you get off the boat, donate moey. Get the winning can and blue and red forklifts from the free stay lodge. Then, go and talk to the fortune teller. Talk to her once more and she will say some things about you chasing a black dragon. She then says she's in love with you.

Wow, I will have to try that out one day if it works!

Where's the blue forklift? I've only seen the red one in the drawer.

Sounds like a farce to me. So many of the sites that have Shenmue "Cheat Codes" are nothing more than a jumbled mess of text some asshat submitted while he was high. They always involve some convoluted method of gathering items and contain a suspicious phrase or action to perform. Chasing a Black Dragon.. obscure opium reference anyone?

I think I remember something like that But I think she just say something weird not that she will have a crush on you for now on.

Anyway it will be boring.
If she says to Ryo she is in love Ryo will say something like
uuhhgg , I got to go or Where is man mo temple ?
Something lame like that.

Like the scene when you say goodbye to Izumi.
She keep asking Ryo to go to her appartment.
And Ryo said something like another time I am leaving.

I always asked myself what she wanted to do with Ryo in her a apartment
Girls ask men to visit them to their apartment to do naughty things lol.

It's true. I've had it happen to me once. Didn't know what triggered it, though.

It's completely true. Basically the Fortune Teller sees something in Ryo's palm reading and announces her love for him. It's a surprising moment, but not that interesting. I can't recall her exact wording, but another poster probably will. It's been several years since I tried it.

Nothing happens afterwards, and I don't believe she mentions it if you talk to her again.

It's just another of Shenmue II's many secrets, some of which are so tiny that 8 years later, even some fans have missed them.

Always is the truth. Usually through the process of playing the game I get so caught up in the story and ryo that i agree with all of his choices and actions, not to mention you the player gets to decide some. But the one thing i never agreed with him on is his approach to the females in his life. I'm not a nerdy guy that likes video game characters lol, but Nozomi, Joy????? How did he not understand these girls had a thing for him lol. Its just crazy. You would think he would acknowledge it at least. . .

I remember a discussion about this years ago with Kiyuu too. So I guess it's correct information. I haven't seen it myself yet though.

I remember this happening the last time I played it (or was it the time before) and thinking 'wtf was that all about?'

Yeah, I always felt there was some lurve going on with Izumi.

I think I got that one once by accident. I was actually disappointed because I wanted her tell me the regular one (which would have given me proof in the story that my money would be taken). I think the blue forklift is on one of the beds. Maybe I'm thinking about the booze.

This happened to me when I bought out all interesting items and still had a lot of money to spend transferred from Shenmue 1. I guess it happened after a few palm readings.

Black Dragon would mean probably Black Dragon Triads but I don't remember that part.

I had to quote this because after reading about 2 forklift figurines in various guides etc, i can only find a red forklift in the drawer! Could someone post where EXACTLY this other toy is? Thanks

I found it but I can't remember exactly. It's near where you find the red toy on one of the beds in the Free stay Lodge. Either behind the draw or the beds to the right..
