Dude you're rich compared to me. I get 35$ a month and I still donate a dollar or two. Anyone can donate. Does not have to be much. It's not dojo select. It's donating to keep the place running. Oh and yes we are sectretly talking about you. You can't take the piss out of what things we said until you give a fuck to give a buck.

I have literally no expendable income, and I can't really be arsed raiding my change box to deposit into my bank account just to keep a website afloat.

And Res, you've completely missed the point. A message board exists for discussion, and an extra sub-forum/category exclusively for donators isn't rewarding the people who do donate, it's excluding those that don't.

Profile enhancements are rewards, exclusive shit is just a kick in the bollocks for everyone else.

The fact that I gave another side to it instead of reiterating your side does not mean I've completely missed the point. You made your point of view pretty obvious the first time around, no need to repeat yourself. Notice, I didn't try to insult you by saying you missed the point, though. I understand your point of view and I don't necessarily disagree with it entirely but I just think if you don't want to donate then don't worry about some exclusive perk that you're missing out on. Just enjoy the dojo like you've been enjoying it. Not saying you should keep your mouth shut or anything. I applaud that you, or anyone else, expresses their opinion on it. I'm sure others feel that way and don't say anything. However, just don't let it ruin your shenmue dojo experience.

Excuse my ignorance but when, precisely, did the dojo get started? It seems 2001, correct? Is there an actual date?

2001 yeah and was called Ryo's Place started by Andy. Later changed to Shenmue Dojo and many websites and forum changes later Ziming took over and last year Yama.

I only go to HD to get upddates if the Dojo is down. Last summer before Yama took over and we were in the dark was the most I ever visited..
