Shenmue Dojo

Shenmue II: The Movie is now available to watch on YouTube. The 8 hour long movie was put together by Dojo member Mr357 and premiered live on our Twitch channel. He also did a movie on the first game earlier this year.

I wonder if this could/should be edited down to 2 hours?

Then it could be watched in one sitting like a feature length film.

Does an original version (japanese with subtitles) exist?
I can't stand those bad english voices, acting is sooooo bad.

Absolutely amazing. Great job. This is one of the best fan created projects i have ever seen.

No, this is the "original" version which I just finished about 2 weeks ago. Seeing as it took me over 4 months, I don't really feel like doing it twice.

This was my first experience of Shenmue II's English dub and whilst I like the Japanese dub better, I couldn't imagine reading subtitles for 8 hours; it would really tire you out I think. English dub was definitely the right decision for this project, regardless of personal preference.

As someone who played through Shenmue II back when it was released on the Dreamcast in 2001, and then again on the Xbox in 2002 this was a great way to relive it. Thank you for taking the time to put this together, really great work! I agree with Jibby that the english dub was the right decision.

By saying original version, I was referring to the original dubbing, not this movie edit.
I will not watch it as I am really uncomfortable with Shenmue's english dubbing. However I cannot deny you did an incredible job! Thank you so much for sharing your time and passion.
