HAZUKI 2017
SHENMUE (1999)

From the mean streets of Yokosuka comes a new jacket inspired by Shenmue.

Complete with sleeve and chest detailing, as well as that epic tiger backprint, this is a bomber variant to Ryo’s classic jacket - perfect whether you’re at the dojo, your local convenience store or the docks...

For people interested in this, and willing to spend the money, if you want to go for an extra £20, you can get the 3 Shenmue T Shirts they have on there. They have an offer on 3 for 2 with the T Shirts, and also using the promo code ICMEF20 will get you another 20% off.

I just put my order through. It's a pretty sweet deal for anyone wanting to treat themselves. So for £83.20 and shipping is free, you can get 4 very sweet pieces of official Shenmue merchandise, and show your love for the series as we roll up to E3.

(Credits to Adam Koralik for finding the promo code)

Looks decent, though I'd have gone for a much darker brown n a smaller design on the back.

I wouldn't read anything into it concerning Shenmue HD, if that's what you're getting at. Sega's been tweeting about Insert Coin's Shenmue releases since 2014.

Sorry to be so blunt, but
I wouldn't be caught dead wearing that jacket. It looks like part of a cheap Halloween costume to me. I'd expect this kind of thing for Star Wars, Nintendo, etc. but seeing it happen to a niche like Shenmue makes me sick.

Whilst this isn't to my taste (I bought the hoodie and t-shirt and don't wear those either though) it's good to see new merchandise (!) and the series getting some love.

The jacket looks to be of low quality... is that even leather?

It's just a casual jacket, take it for what it is :)

I still love my jacket, the first one that they made but I think I'm going to pass on this, unless it's really cheap.
It sure looks like it is and while I critizised the older jacket for being to dark to look like the original this one is the opposite and just looks way to flashy. Really don't dig the look.

Yeah. It's more of an "inspired by" jacket than anything. Insert Coin don't really deal in replicas anyway.

I wouldn't wear it personally, but it's just a bit of inoffensive merch.

Hey Master,

I got the jacket yesterday. It's actually a nice one. The colors on the page are bit to bright but the overall quality is good. It's a Polyester Bomber Jacket and not a Leather-one. Everything is stitched except for the tiger on the back.

That's not quite true. ICC offered some 1:1 replica designs:

Jet Set Radio Beat 2.0 Shirt
Gum Jet Set Radio Shirt
Aiden Sweater (Watch Dogs, even with the holes for the thumbs)
Joel-Shirt (The Last of Us)
Ellie-Shirt (The Last of Us)
Nate Shirt (UC1-3 and 4), Nate Scarf (Uncharted-series, most of the stuff is oop)
Rayman Hoodie (still available)
Mega Man Hoodie (oop)
Team Rocket Shirt (Pokémon)
Delsin-Jeans Jacket, Hoodie and Beanie (Infamous Second Son, still available on the page)
Parappa the Rapper Beanie (still available)
Parappa the Rapper Shirt in the exact same blue but with a motive
Chie Jacket, including the buttons (Persona, was available)
James Sunderland Jacket (Silent Hill 2, close replica)
Hotline Miami Jacket (still available)
A Life is Strange shirt afair

I'm sure I missed something - but yes, they do replica-stuff from time to time.

I want a replica Ryo Hazuki jacket. But there are too many inaccuracies with the ones by insertcoin or slimfitjackets, including either being far too dark or too light; having military style chevron patches instead of stripes; printed patches; straight pocket flaps; no contrast with cuffs and hem....
I'd still quite like the one by slimfitjackets though. It has real patches and looks like it's made from decent material.

How hard can it be to make an accurate replica? Ryo's jacket is just the classic A2 flight bomber jacket with added patches. It really shows that manufacturers are just cashing in with as little effort as possible.

I'd love to have the Yu Suzuki approved jacket, but not when it's over £2000. I'm going to do what Ryo_Hazuki--san from the other thread did, and make my own. His looked awesome.

I'm copying the Yu Suzuki approved jacket. I found a very nice leather vintage A2 jacket for just £15. It's almost identical to Yu's approved one. I'll make the patches myself. I'm just not really sure I want the tiger on the back.
