You know when I think about it now it's really a funny coincidence. I bought a really cheap iPhone 3GS for other means a little while back and then they release a Shenmue ringtone for iOS.

It should arrive today and I'll try to buy the ringtone as soon as I get that dumb old phone running. Don't know if this will do much in terms of getting us closer to Shenmue HD but I'll still try.

When Shenmue is finally over perhaps we should all just block Sega. A timed blocking much like 30onthe3rd was. We could have banners.

Can't remember exactly what I wrote but it wasn't a rude comment I remember many other people on facebook were asking about Shenmue 3. Blocking Sega sounds like a good idea but let's do it after they release Shenmue 1 and 2 HD. Haaa.

It seems to be just a 25 seconds long ringtone. Not at all the whole OST. But still. First time in a while they acknowledged that Shenmue exists.

EDIT: On second thought, I doubt the single track will sell well and SEGA would decide there's no demand for a HD remaster. And even if they did a HD remaster, would it be a good one or just one with issues? Think Silent Hill Collection or Resident Evil 4 HD.

exactly what i'm thinking. just the ringtone gives off more of a casual cash-in vibe than releasing the OST.

they removed their mobile JSR port from app stores as well, they act like they really dgaf. because it's not a game as small as a sonic or arcade title it's expensive to debug a port considering it'd have to be a reissue and not a full price game- so I think Sega considers Shenmue an elephant in the room with unprofitability (and a reminder of the worst of times) written on it, and this attitude persists among shareholders familiar with their finances for sure.

I searched "Shenmue" on my iPhone's ITUNES app and found it fairly easily. Not sure what else you can do, unless it's not available in Europe (i'm in America).

I still think a 'Congraulations' message to Yu (via Twitter) wouldn't have hurt. It would have shown to the fans that they are indeed trying, as they recently claimed to be.

If an Epic Games employee can do it, why can't Sega, who own the IP???
