Confusion

Just had a member in my forum quote some stuff from the Shenmue Dojo site, and make it look as if Shenmue III WAS at E3, but only shown to "manufacturers who are making the next-gen systems" <--- not direct quote. These companies are NOT Sony, Nintendo, Sega or Microsoft apparantly.

i dont see the purpose of having shenmue III at E3 and not make it public. and with all the news we've had recently, there's no evidence that its development has even begun.

I wont belive anything unless I see it myself anymore, rumours about S3 are floating all over, I've dissapointed too many times already...
If he could give us some evidence I'd belive him though.

No, Iwao posted a thread implying that Shenmue III was announced, "as practice" and was flamed off the boards, or would have been if he wasn't a mod.

This guy Neo Matrix is on about was claiming that there was a special secret unveiling of a new game only to select manufacturers (for whatever reason) and he thought it had to be Shenmue III. But there was no proof of any such secret meeting, (if you're keeping something a secret you hardly "secretly" unveil it at a trade show!) nor that what was being unveiled was Shenmue III.

Its possible, cause alot of games at e3 are only showed to a select for, such as max payne 2. BUT, they probably would have announced that they were only showing shenmue 3 to a select few.

Yes, but generally the "select few" a game is shown to are media outlets, and the idea is for them to publicise the game, not to not publicise it!
