Re: THQ Nordic buys Deep Silver

Quoting from the press release: " Koch Media will continue to operate as a separate entity within the THQ Nordic group. Focus for the group will be to deliver on the full pipelines of THQ Nordic and Koch Media. No restructuring or cost saving programmes are planned." This wait is really s...

Re: Just woke up from a SIII dream!

Had another S3-related dream recently. I was at Cologne (or was it Düsseldorf?) Airport to meet Yu there. He had just finished Gamescom again and was going to catch his flight back home. I think I didn't go to Gamescom in my dream. I just drove up to the airport directly because I figured that way ...

Re: Yuji Naka Joins Square-Enix

To be fair, he did make some good games back in the 2000s. PSO and PSO Card Revolution were great. And wasn't also Bily Hatcher Naka's work? That wasn't bad. Even Sonic Adventure 2 was ok back in the day I guess. Nowhere near as abysmal as Forces. Oh yeah, and I really loved Puyo Puyo fever back wh...

Re: The friends of Ringo Ishikawa

How come you think Iconoclasts failed sales-wise? It's only been out for two weeks. Of course there's no guarantee a game will succeed. Even big "AAA" games with gigantic marketing campaigns can fail: https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidthier/2018/01/30/ea-star-wars-battlefront-2-misses-sal...

Re: The friends of Ringo Ishikawa

That's kind of a touching story behind it. Makes me wanna support the game even more. From what I've experienced - although being in a completely different field than video games - whenever projects I've worked on came to a "do or die" point which meant that we either were gonna pull the ...

Re: The friends of Ringo Ishikawa

So the characters seen in the Greenlight video were drawn by your old man? I mean, I like the Technos "Nintendo World Cup style" characters but the ones in the Greenlight video look so much better and give this game so much more personality. Congratulations, your dad is awesome! =D>

Re: The friends of Ringo Ishikawa

As Calshot already said, I also think that this is the right mindset. A lot of homebrew or indie games fail, because they plan too many ports or too much content.

Re: Shenmue III: Siege mini-game

I think it will be Seven Samurai style. Like Ryo, Shenhua, Ren and a handful of other people maybe, trying to defend Baisha town. Maybe also Ryo trying to secretely infiltrate the enemy's camp, like the samurai do in the film.

Re: How much say does Deep Silver have in the creative proce

Deep Silver has beenSega's European publisher, since Sega Europe stopped publishing physical games like two years ago. This does not apply to Sega and Atlus games in other markets such as Japan or the Americas. While I believe that it's wishful thinking, to hope Deep Silver, with millions of their ...

Re: The friends of Ringo Ishikawa

The fighting looks really smooth and I love the vibe. Love how the music in your Greenlight trailer reminded me of this little masterpiece. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nw0PE3Dbz4 Will this game have 2-palyer-co-op? Are you planning a console version, if this turns out succesful on Steam? I'd t...

Re: Panzer Dragoon Saga 20th Anniversary Arrangement OST

I know, dude! I really want to play it, but unless I find a really good way to play Saturn games on emulator, that's probably not gonna happen. The thing is, Sega lost the original game's source code, so there's no hope for them putting out a conversion of the original game as a retro title on PSN ...

Re: Yakuza series

Bloody hell I had March 20th booked off work for that reason. Atleast they're releasing a demo, I don't believe that's been done since Yakuza 4? I played a Yakuza 6 demo at Gamescom last year. Unless they're making another demo, it's gonna be the same one, probably. I think it's just a short story ...

Re: E3 2018: Can Shenmue III afford to miss this year?

To put it short, I'm with OP on this one and think that S3 can absolutely not afford to miss E3 2018. Chances are the game will be out before E3 2019. They'll be in Monaco this month and it's pretty save to say they'll do Gamescom again, so they've got Europe covered. They need to do an event in Ja...
