You know, this pushback makes having a save file transfer from the remake to III a possibility. Of course, I doubt that's going to happen. Both the remake & III have been on different dev schedules. However, that would be a dream come true.
I'm going to buy four copies. I've always wanted to play my favourite games in HD. I know it's unrealistic, but I do wish the title would be touched up + 4K compatible. That would be quite an experience.
I think I enjoy the game more with the fictional juice brands anyway to be honest. The Coca-Cola branding was cool for realism, but product placement is product placement and it's a form of advertising I'm not hugely keen on. It never quite felt right when I played a version with the real world bra...
If the remaster is done right, it's going to hit around 560-660K in the first year & around 1.5M in the title's lifetime. I think it's going to sell 200-500K the first year & 800K-1M in its lifetime if the remaster's "basic."
IF Shenmue III does come out this year. Then it absolutely can’t afford to miss having some presence at E3. It’s the place the dream finally came true. Has to be there. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’ll be there this year. I’m starting to believe we’ll be getting a 2019 delay in a few months. In m...
There is so many major releases this year and that does no bode well for Shenmue, especially where simply being noticed won't be enough as, to be frank, it does not look like a good game . What, in your opinion, makes you believe it doesn't look like a good game? Marketing aside, Shenmue III, in my...
Even though Mr. Suzuki said those things, I wouldn't underestimate him. He gets that he has to provide an experience that'd reach what he did with Shenmue I & II realistically. Thus, he'll probably maneuver within his budget constraints to mitigate those issues he cannot resolve and creatively r...
If what Mr. Suzuki says about Deep Silver is true, then there should be full VA. His statement about making the game we've dreamed about doesn't make sense otherwise.

I agree. Not everyone has to like Shenmue. Although I'd like it if more played the Shenmue series, we'd do fine with enough of the fanbase buying SIII. That's what counts.
I just wish they would start giving us more gameplay stuff (like the free battle system) instead of visuals. You are kinda shooting yourself in the leg when you appear on the same news circle with FFXV new cut scenes... I don't even like the game but Luna's facial expressions are amazing. Actually,...
True. They should be slightly more careful with their progress reports from now on since more non-fans are keeping an eye on the game after the progress teaser. The facial animation controversy was mostly over by now but this video provoked similar comments again. Explaining better what they're doi...
Mr. Suzuki knows how important voiced NPCs are. He's clearly speaking in context, i.e., the number of NPCs will depend on how much they can afford to spend on VAs. What gives me confidence here are the words "You have to remember." He wouldn't have said them if he had no consideration for ...
I'm impressed. I just don't get why some people are trying to make negative reactions to this. If you looked at the characters shown in the progress report, it's clear as day that their facial expressions were animation tests. If they're tests, then it should be understood that the actual flow would...
As I said over and over Ryo needs to look more japanese and less fillipino/malaysian guy. The new model from the gameplay trailer looks much better as on the banner. I hope Yu is listening and the team will make more changes to his model There are Japanese that look like the current Ryo model, i.e....
