Re: Yokosuka ‘Sacred Spot’ Guide Map pamphlet PDF

Way cool, thank you much! Yokosuka is further away than it's ever been, so it's great to be able to get my hands on these maps.

Re: Hell Froze Over -- Selling Dreamcast Because of This.

A bit late to the party, but just be very careful you won't regret it! A long time ago, I sold my Sega Saturn. Boxed, complete copies of Dragon Force, Shining the Holy Ark, Shining Force III, Burning Rangers, and a few others in that line. They're now worth hundreds of dollars and are pretty diffic...

Re: Is there any chance of our save files carrying over to S

I would be happy with a Dragon Age-style questionnaire-type deal, although direct save transfers would be nice too!

It's probably not a huge deal in the whole scheme of things, but having the specific pictures and capsule toys you chose and got would be really nice to have in 3!

Re: Critical Reception (Reviews)

I went with 6 to 8 out of 10, although I'm thinking more 8 to 9. There will always be people who don't "get" Shenmue (which is fine!) or find it didn't age well (I would disagree!), and the port quality could certainly be an issue, but I think 80-90% is a safe bet.

Re: Booking Time Off Work To Play Shenmue HD?

Absolutely. It will depend on exactly where I'm working, their policies, and how busy it is, but if humanly possible I'll probably take at least two if not three days.

My wife and I typically take 1-2 days off for big MMO releases anyway, and she knows how important Shenmue is to me!

Re: Demul - Now with a new What's Shenmue fix - 31/07/15

This is probably the most accurate and glitch-free emulator for Shenmue to date, BUT is requires a fucking monster machine... For reference: I have a i5 4690k @ 4.3ghz, GTX 970, 16GB RAM and I'm still getting occasional frame rate dips in Shenmue 2, accompanied by annoying pitch shifting in the gam...

Windows Clings

My wife is trying to figure out which one of these she likes best (the white is the window cling, the black will be where it's cut out). Also, feel free to use any of these, she says (she uses a Cricut machine to cut them out, but I imagine there are other ways? I don't know, I'm no good at crafts!)...

Re: Revisiting Gamespot's 6.8 Review

I really wanted to read the original 6.8 review, even if it's terrible. I have yet to be able to find the actual review in it's entirety, but searching the old news groups I did find one block quote from it. It's similar to the existing paragraph, but a little more harsh. ""When you get r...

Re: Yu Suzuki hires a fan to help make Shenmue 3

If anyone should be hired it should be nicokid and espiral. And Switch for the subtitles. Sadly spoilers are a problem for any fan eager to help. Yep the spoilers would Suck. I might make that trade to have a chance at working on Shenmue. But if I'm not working on Shenmue, I'm not even sure I...

Re: Are you going to buy Shenmue III when it comes out even

I might. I have both PC and PS4 physicals coming, but I might go ahead and do the digital as well just to support it. If the backer exclusive codes and in-game goodies can be access without opening the physical version at all, I'll just hold on to those and go pure digital, for my own benefit and to...

Re: Archive of Shenmue Passport content?

Didn't someone briefly "restore" the Passport about a decade ago? I don't recall if it was when Sega let the Shenmue domain relapse or what, but they quickly took it back. Anyway, I'd love to see a restored Passport of some type. Obviously, we couldn't do leaderboards, but everything else ...
