Re: Shenmue 1 and 2 widescreen hacks Dreamcast

Sadly I haven't found the address /value to slow down the game logic, I did found it for other games like sonic adventure or toy commander but not for shenmue T_T Can anyone think of a cutscene where the game goes slow motion? By comparing values in that, to regular cutscenes, it might be possible ...

Re: Assets Catalogue

Updated the first post, and I've added a header for music now. I'm also not going to limit the catalogue to assets which would be useful for 3D projects, so if you have 2D assets let me know.

Re: 3D Assets Catalogue

Anything you can post would be appreciated by myself, and I'm sure lots of other people who want to make 3D fan games.

I'll search through lots of old threads and add tons to the first post as soon as I can.

Re: Shenmue, character models, locations etc.

Hey, I know it's a long shot, but does anyone know why a lot of the surfaces are missing when I import the Dobuita map into Unity, for example. Do I need to export it in a different way?

Assets Catalogue

I've often come to Dojo and found it hard to find a particular FBX model or a texture or something, and had to wade through many comments. So I figured maybe it would be helpful for those of us working on 3D Shenmue fan projects to have all of the assets in one thread. If we already have something l...

Re: Getting better rips and manipulating the camera in Shenm

With Shenmue, you will get the models "backfaceculled" so in practice this is useless in that case. Yeah I thought that might be the case, but I thought it might work seeing as how these codes allow you to rip an entire scene which would usually be partially culled. What about if I found ...

Re: Getting better rips and manipulating the camera in Shenm

I've got the codes to do this with Shenmue 1. But would it work? I've seen that the models come out very choppy when you rip them from Shenmue 1, so would this same trick fix the models?

Re: Cheat Codes for NDC, CodeBreaker or Action Replay

Turns out that the infinite health codes that I can find online only work for fights sometimes, too. My other attempts at finding a universal health code have failed so far.

Re: [Fangame] Shenmue: The Hazuki Legacy [In Progress]

Are the backgrounds animated or static? I'm thinking about releasing a pack of animated backgrounds for use in all fangames should the developers choose to use them. Its just worry about not being credited I spent a very long time on some of them. Right now they are static, but I want to add light ...

Re: [Fangame] Shenmue: The Hazuki Legacy [In Progress]

Are you working on this project alone? Hope you're got the support there. Hope for the best, man! :) I'm not completely attached to the idea of working on it entirely alone. Mostly I think I could do with help with animating the 2D characters, or the scenery. But also, I wouldn't say no to some hel...

[Fangame] Shenmue: The Hazuki Legacy [In Progress]

http://i.imgur.com/ahS6DcI.jpg The project started out as an idea to blend River City Ransom and Shenmue together. After a while though, the story got too serious to adequately portray in 8-bit graphics, so it evolved into this: a 2D adventure / RPG with QTE, and what I hope will eventually be a fi...

Re: Help Me to Help You

Actually, on further investigation it seems like the IDs are useful without needing to offset the address at all. I searched for Ryo's ID (converted to hex, then to value) and it came up like 19 times. I did the same for Cathy Wilkins and it came up once. So yeah, this could be interesting. Thanks. :)
