I was thinking maybe what if they have some lines ready and tease something at E3 maybe is just wishful thinking. Yeah, anything at E3 is wishful thinking right now so don't get too excited. On if they have lines ready , well... they've definitely got some recorded from what we can see, but it's an...
In fairness to Cedric, he's not predicting anything. Even if he's somewhere on the back seats of production, he has an inside look that we don't. So that said, the hint about Gamescom is almost definitely based on information right from the development team, and is accurate for the moment . As we al...
I'm also playing Vampyr. It's pretty Shenmue-ish in a few ways because of the unique NPCs with their own stories/backgrounds.
Ultimately an engine does not automatically make an optimised game though, but an engine that isn't held together by bubblegum and tape does make it easier to achieve.
Gastarot, your "statistics" are based on self-made binary rules about promotional cycles that don't exist, and ignoring the half a dozen events Shenmue III could show at this year alone; let alone the strong hint that we'll see more at Gamescom anyway.
Nah I mean, I don't think a IV Kickstarter will do as well as III in today's climate either. The bad narrative has really damaged crowdfunding games, which is worse overall for the landscape. It might recover one day, but probably not. Luckily, even back in 2015/2016 it sounded like from Cedric that...
That and 99% of Kickstarter projects get delayed a million times and come out years later than they're supposed to... *cough* Shenmue 3 included *cough* Games in general get delayed a lot these days, it's not anything to do with Kickstarter. Shenmue III has had the same or even less delays than som...
I don't understand the "missing E3 = 2020 release" train of thought given the obvious fact a promotion cycle doesn't have to start at E3, and there's E3 2019 possibly coming before the game releases. I don't see the logic. And frankly, it's either going to get delayed, or it's not. Might a...
No plans for a live stream currently. If that changes we'll post something up.
Given Shenmue I & II won't be there, and Cedric's less than cryptic hint at III being at Gamescom instead, it's unlikely anything Shenmue related will be at E3.
I can't for the life of me find the infographic I saw it on, but GDD and TDD usually come way earlier in the process for Waterfall development methods, which is still used for a lot of games.
