Any involved with the running of said competition, indeed also those directly related to any of these people are exempt from receiving any prize of any sort. Now, I don't have a direct link that can prove this, but it is in fact law in both our respective countries.

If you'd like though, I can take to Google and find it. Either way, are you honestly telling me that you'd be willing to break the law, thus becoming a criminal for the sake of $20 worth of PSN points? I always thought you were a good, upstanding citizen, as do many. Not only would this put you in a compromising position in terms of law and respect, but it would also negate any and all of the votes you received to become runner-up in the category.

You want to wait for that thing, not the older less reliable serial port sd card readers. Also no need to modify the Dreamcast, they all plug right in. Even the optical drive emulator is just a replacement for the GDRom drive. :D

That's exactly what I'm saying though. You hate the aesthetic stuff, which is fine. They are indeed cliched as all hell. Some like it, some don't. But they're still not technically bad games, when it comes down to the real meat of it all; the battle systems, the level-up progression, the balance of it all.
If they all had the same look and story of, say, the Ys series, you'd probably like them a lot.
And ToS2 wasn't included in what I was talking about, since it's not a main entry. Haven't played it myself, so I know nothing of it's terribleness.

Today I got a Vita w/ Gravity Rush, Uncharted & Soul Sacrifice. Also got Devil Survivor: Overclocked (3DS), all from my birthday. Played a bit of Soul Sacrifice and Devil Survivor.

Thoughts on the Vita: Amazing system, like it more overall than the 3DS already (in terms of design, anyway). It's just a better made piece of kit and more fun to mess around with. Had a lot of fun with the voice recording device. :lol:

I don't understand how a system that sold 80 million units failed in anway? Only a fraction of people did that compared to how many bought one. 3DS uses regular SD cards. Sony did not do it because "piracy" Sony did it because Sony ALWAYS has to have its own proprietary thing. UMD,BetaMAX,Mini disc,Memory Stick etcc..

Hello fellow Shenmue-fans.
A lot has happened since I joined the Dojo in 2005, but as far as Shenmue goes, we're still waiting : (. Back in '05, I was just another youth with an unsure future, but my favorite games of all time were, like most f you, the Shenmues (still is, to this day).
Now, almost 10 years later, I'm a professional 3D-artist, working in the video game industry. Fate, right? Anyways, since Yu and the Boys (and Nagoshi, and the Yakuza-guys) can't seem to do neither a remake of Shenmue I&II, nor shenmue III I've decided to take it upon myself to recreate the whole of Shenmue I in 3D, so everything's done for them the day they decide t actually do a remake! Handy right? : D

I posted this thread almost 2½ years ago, some of you might remember that, it was my intention back then to start this project, but work, life, and everything else came between. Now however, I've got a solid job, many interesting sideprojects running, and a lot of time to kill during the weekends! So, thus, the saga begins ;)

Every model is 100% custom made from scratch , no Shenmue-assets used at all, every texture is custom made, every painting and kanji based on screenshot/photos of my TV, which I've then painted on for maximum accuracy! It's not much.. yet, but it's something!

Everything's default rendered in the fancy Unreal engine atm, which I'm not yet really familiar with.. but I will be! : D

I'm fulltime employed at Paradox Interactive, and I spend a lot of my freetime developing games for iOS and such, so time is kinda slim but, as you can see, I'm getting somewhere! : D I'll update this thread every now and then when I get the time : D

And I'll see this project through! Probably before Shenmue 3 is released, anyway! xD

Also, thanks to Ziming who posted a lot of Shenmue screens last time I asked for them, without them, I'd have a really hard time creating all this in 3D (I do look in-game a LOT but, some things you just cannot get a good view of xD)

Also, last but not least, I'm ALWAYS in need of good reference material . If anyone got texture packs (i don't use the, but I look at them : )), hi-res screen, screens of weird angles (like, a skyview om Hazuki residence and such) it would be REALLY helpful to get my hand on these : )

Didn't get as much time as I was hoping for, but managed to build some more on the dojo, added some beams and roof modules, still very WIP, but anyways : D Tweaked the stone a bit too. Gonna add some grass and the stone paved road and the mud texture on the ground and stuff soon I think.

I want to leave you with a piece of concept art from our next-gen Deus Ex game that shows trans-humanism segregation, which is a backdrop to our vision for the next Deus Ex. It represents a "ghetto-city' voluntarily built in order to separate the classes. The people in this segregated class have reshaped their environment, nostalgic for their ideal of Cyber Renaissance. This dark and dystopian vision sets the tone for things to come in Deus Ex.

For now, I hope you are excited about the future of this game that we love so much. Deus Ex is coming to next-gen, it’s early so don’t expect to hear much more from us just yet, but I wanted you to know.

Reminds me of when Square-Enix announced the "Ivalice Alliance" (which spanned multiple games). Here's hoping for a SRPG set in the Deus Ex world. I'd be very interested in a comic book series like they're saying will happen.

Yeah that's the main thing I don't like about the Vita. I see why they did it, but it still sucks. I have all three of my accounts on my PS3/PSP but only my US account on my Vita. Would be nice to be able to switch between them. Never played Innocent Sin, but Xenogears is worth the money. I love playing PSONE classics on PSP/VITA, they just seem so crisp and vibrant on those little screens. Xenogears, Alundra, SotN and about 15 others are on my Memory stick at all times.

Also, y'al, I've worked some on the project again.. spent all day yesteday making.. rocks! Pavementrocks, gardenrock, you name it. I'll post pictures soon again, when I've got all that in game and some new stuff to. Probably gonna work on it this weekend, so stay tuned~

I dunno if I am more curious to see what happens in Shenmue 3 or how this place would go down if Sony actually announced it

Been waiting on this for awhile now. Ys: Memories of Celceta Silver Edition. Was the 25th Anniversary Edition in Japan, not sure why they changed it to Silver Edition for the English versions. Cloth map. Three disc collection of music from the entire series. Full color "Adol's Travel Journal" with art, strategies and a manual rolled into one. And a compass with the game logo on it.
