I'm doing a remake of Ryo's room, everything is done from scratch, I don't reuse models and textures of original game, I used models only to respect the proportions

Because, before I was using Source Engine but I don't like this old engine and it's very difficult to do a "great" work, and before I have a big problem with proportion.

I want try an idea to import my work on Unity and maybe try a VR version of Shenmue, I love level design from this old game (1999 !!) and interaction, and I think this game in VR and HD would be great.

I model including drawers to make a future interaction.

I started this project in the middle of last week (March 28) and I have learn to use Blender, it's like a training for me to remake Ryo's Room and maybe Hazuki Residence inside and outside.

And I want to thanks people who have ripped models because it's helped me a lot to do this work to have good size for modeling.

Nice to see you still show Ryo's Room some love. Great work on the models and textures, only the lighting seems off.
How did you recreate the texture for the carpet or where did you find it, when it isn't taken from the game?

I have imported my work on Unity engine and I add VR control and it's working great !
I think I will make a video soon, but I need to learn how to make interaction, for now, I can only grab object, move arround the room and control camera with Oculus Rift.

VR is very useful for level design, but I think I will have a problem with books for covers, I don't know how I can make all books interactive with coherent covers.
