I'd like for us to try and make sure we have a good list of questions and suggestions for YU during the twitch event. I may actually miss it because of work but I hope I can have a few questions get through.

We need Yu to understand that there are some certain things that need to be done to the KS page to make it more appealing for one.

Obivously, rather they can be done or not is something Yu probably knows, but there may be a few things we can suggest that he strongly takes into consideration.

If you guys can nominate questions/suggestions to be asked. I'll compile a list and we can use that set of questions to try and get answered.

2. will there be loading screens in shenmue 3?
3. to raise money can you (Yu) produce some t-shirts for the fans which we can buy?

good news - KS worked. were getting shenmue 3 no matter what.

bad news - shenmue 3 is going to be a mobile phone game.

But… they're basically crap, right? A CD case? A mousepad? A silkscreened t-shirt that anyone could make for $25? I guess, there's a figurine if you're in the $2,000 tier but honestly the rest looks like stuff I'd be tempted to throw away.

Have you guys heard anything else?

/\ same could be said about the $3k reward jacket. you just know its going to be really crappy quality.. wont be worth any more than $100.

keep your 2k pledge & just buy your self a top quality USAAF ww2 style "Type A-2" jacket or a second hand one. ( aeroleatherclothing or eastmanleather do a really nice one)

at the end of the shenmue story, i really want ryo to be sent to back in time somehow. how cool would it be if ryo got a second chance to to save his father in an epic fight with lan di.

Other Possibilities:

I originally intended to build the Hang-On and After Burner deluxe cabinets as well, but they were proving difficult. I would like to see the Lego designers take a stab at including those as well if this projects reaches full support. If I am able to build something I'm happy with, I'll post it in an update.
I was thinking it'd be cool to include a Ryo Hazuki minifigure. Ryo Hazuki is the main character from the Shenmue videogame series which is set in the 80's. Many of these video games appear in the game and are playable. A Ryo Hazuki minifig would be flesh colored.

i havent played shenmue 1/2 since 2007 (sold my dreamcast back then) but your remastered clip made me feel the way i did when i first played shenmue. just awesome =D>

i would say yes.

the original is a classic, i highly recommend it but make sure to watch the directors cut of blade runner. (the standard movie, which i dont even know if you can get(?) has harrison ford narrating the whole movie and was originally a flop at the box office)

+ IMO the movie is not about harrisons ford's character its about humanoid androids who almost become human. so watching the original one will give you a better idea of the "world".. also the actor, Rutger Hauer is amazing in the film.

....... Rolf always seemed like a good guy...
i was the same. i grew up watching Rolf, he seemed to be one of the "good" guys (he even met and painted the queen!) but with all the celeb pedo stuff made me realize, i shouldn't idolize any celebrities, just enjoy their work and nothing more.. but that having said, its quite hard as the lines between the person and character can become blurred.

Hi, I've never played the originals but this game in particular looks good, any fans/enthusiasts of it here? Is it worth backing on kickstarter?


-funny, every few years i think about the original game. nostalgia?

i played the original when it first came out on ps1. i remember the game being really trippy due to the resident evil style gameplay with comic/cartoon style visuals. i dont remember much about the story, something about shooting people and going into hell.

Fear Effect Sedna isnt my type of game. if they made a new Fear Effect, fixed camera angle gameplay and cel shaded graphics, i would buy it :)

s2 mini games can apparently be installed onto the xbox and played without the need for the disc. (modded xbox)

It might just turn into a story about a teenager's journey into becoming a young man and finding inner peace. I'm certain he learns vengeance isn't the answer.

And if you lose the battle and Iwao is defeated, it just loops the story of Shenmue again.

for me, when i saw the project berkley trailer years ago and it seemed they were going to give shenfa "powers" of some type. i started to think how interesting it would be to relive/play that shenmue 1 intro moment again but change the outcome. - over the years i have thought about the idea of making some sort of animation or something to depict my idea but realistically, i dont have the skills.
