Ico HD. Struggling to see what all the fuss is about tbh.

I thought it was a cracking little game but not one of the top 10 best ever games which it always seems to creep up in. I much preferred SotC and loved the look of Last Guardian.

While it's a nice little game, and I do appreciate a break from the norm, I can't help but feel having to fend off those little black bastards every time you discover a new area feels a little bit like padding out the longevity of the game somewhat. SotC is great though.

Was reading some reviews of Shenmue on the internet, and some 2011 comments made from 1UP, that it was "remarkable that years after Shenmue's release, the game's environments are still some of the best to come out of any video game ever".I am also blaring the Shenmue OST soundtrack through my headphones, and whilst i read this line, "Christmas on Dobuita St." was playing, followed by "The Sadness I Carry", and i almost started welling up! So this topic is about comparing the different regions game covers and which one you prefer and why. ( I know Ico will be brought up here for sure)

The only reason I used all PS3 covers was because I couldn't find any good sized 360 ones.

The Japanese cover wins here to me. It's simple and the A6M2 Zero and its successors are one of the best fighters ever to be made, make that best planes ever to fly. And it shows the power of Japan without having to show other countries planes on fire. And a single plane which doesn't make it too cluttered and some clouds and a horizon to compliment it. I also like the PAL cover more too because of the view point, looking down the barrel of its cannons as its aiming to shot down the Zero. The Japanese obviously didn't want to depict their planes on fire like we did here in America and Europe. Kind of a funny observation but a true one for sure. Here we have the P-38 Lighting on the NTSC and PAL covers which is also one of the best planes ever to fly, but its power is only shown through its gun and the fact that the Japanese planes are on fire and crashing.

Inafune is the producer at Comcept Spark, which is a studio at Spark Unlimited (YAIBA: Ninja Gaiden Z).

Still, can't help but think that a studio like that, regardless of Inafune being around, would still make the game feel a whole helluva lot more western.

Another part of Red Dead that I got sort of emotional on was The horse ride home after he finally finishes his tasks for the cops. That damn song is what does it.


Part of Yakuza 3 I got a little teary with tears of joy.
