SN Systems forges "technical alliance" partnership

SN Systems has opened an office in Tokyo that will benefit directly from the newly-announced technical alliance with Sega. Both companies will work on "products" for next-generation consoles. SN Systems also forged an alliance with middleware provider Criterion Software, hoping to increase its communications links to the Japanese market.

The deal with Sega will render development tools sculptured to fit the very specific and complex needs of the games developer quicker than ever before. It should ultimately cut development costs, increase efficiency in games development and provide new and improved products for next-generation consoles.

SEGA Corp has been looking for development tools which are cost effective since late 2001 once they moved into software only. Although, SEGA teams such as SEGA-AM2, SEGA Rosso and Sonic Team will not be using the SN Systems software.
