I have Valkyrie Profile on PSX and PSP, and the DS game (which I loved) but can't seem to grab a copy of 2 it always slips away whenever I try to grab it.

I got it new at Toys R us in 1998.

I got it for my birthday around the time it came out and thought "WTF" in the back of my mind when I opened it. I openly hated Mario and thought my parent were pulling a usual joke (like when they bought me SMB2) a few hours later I started playing it and since it was a weekend didn't stop till the Sunday night before school. Truthfully I was surprised at how odd a concept worked so well. I'm also not ashamed to say I never heard of it before getting it that day.

Still have that same copy btw

The Lost Golem, Bakushow, Doshin the Giant, iS ?

I'm sure they all sold pretty poorly.

The gamecube 1 is missing the mac daddy of all Rare GCN games, Baten Kaitos SE, most times people sell it assuming its not all that popular or important, so you can sometimes buy it for cheap (since most people don't know any better) The OST it comes with by itself is worth 60$

Also first print copies of SMT Digital Devil Saga came in a special case that had a slot for 2, its another pretty sought after thing that rarely gets mentioned

BEHOLD!!!

Also came with the soundtrack and a slipcover for the box (not shown).
First SMT game I ever bought. The pretty package may have been one of the reasons why.
Not sure how rare it really is though. Doesn't seem all that expensive on ebay as far as I've seen.

Its fairly rare, only came with first print copies (but the game got 3 prints so if you have it theres a 1 and 3 chance you have the cover)

It's funny because Digital Devil Saga is really easy to get off Amazon over here, for cheap. Devil Summoner (PS2) on the other hand, now that's a whole different kettle of fish entirely. Really expensive over here. It must have sold pretty damn poor, since we never got Devil Summoner 2, either.

Radiant Historia
Solatorobo
Vandal Hearts II
Hellnight
Knights in the Nightmare
Galerians
Torico/Lunacy (only seen one European copy in three months on eBay and I bought it)
Xenoblade Chronicles w/ Red Controller
Zone of the Enders 2 (PS2)
Devil's Deception
Ys Chronicles (PSP)
SaGa Frontier 2 (the price just went up astronomically; I bought it for £5 it's now on Amazon for £20-£77 used!)

And soon to have Trails in the Sky, which I reckon will quickly become the rarest game on PSP, over here (EU territories), at least.

Might be a little off topic(being as this game is already rare, not becoming), but a game I've found to be very rare is the old Michael Jackson Smooth Criminal game for Sega Genesis. I remember trying to find that game when I was a kid, and could never find it. I bet it's worth a bit of money now.

Hell naw, that's crazy. I'm obviously not very good at pricing/valuing video games. Like for instance, how long do you think it will be before a decent Shenmue collection is worth good money?
