These aren't exactly obscure but Cthulhu Saves the World and Breath of Death VII are interesting takes on NES era RPGs where you play as characters that would normally be antagonists.

Vyse Hazuky wrote:My package arrived. Really cute. It came in that transparent envelope (inside a stuffed envelope of course), with the pendrive with 4 games and extras, a Endless Forest postcard (not pictured), 2 tiny stickers, a Fatale mini postcard, and that The Path photo of Ginger, autographed by Michäel and Auriea at the back. :)

Any impressions about the game? I (my gf too for that matter) checked out the game before and was quite curious how the feel of the game is.

Which one?

I think we'd talked about The Path before by PM.. It's still one of my favourite games. I'd say the demo/prologue gives a good experience of how the game is, although it scratches only the surface of all they end up expressing on the final game..

The Graveyard.. is interesting but hard to recommend as a single buy.

Fatale, I also enjoyed a lot.

Endless Forest it was a very cool experiment, I'm not sure if people are still playing it...

Steam was having a massive sale so I decided to finally buy Amnesia: The Dark Descent and a Jurassic Park game by Telltale Games.

I was going to get Samorost 2 and Frogwares' entire Sherlock Homes series but they're only Windows. So I might dust off my Windows partition to get those.

I meant The Path. And I actually remembered that we had the discussion earlier after I posted. While typing I got the sense of some deja vu nagging but couldn't really place it until afterwards ;) But thanks for the reply.

Saw the trailer already. Very promising.

Amanita has become one of my favorite devs as of late.

Theres a pic of our 3rd Protagonist Bruce. We're also going to be releasing a trailer in a few weeks (featuring an original song by Inverse Phase) and next month I'm going to have some gameplay vids out showing the combo and skill systems.

^How's that project coming along? Expected completion date? Any news on a possible physical release?

Would suggest Avatar Legends for anyone with a 360. 10+ hours gameplay and supports up to 6 players online.
