I thought Fallout 3 was worse.
I've never cared for either one, but most fans of the series were pretty disappointed with New Vegas.

I'd say most of those fans had only played Fallout 3 at that point.
New Vegas is much closer to the previous entries in tone and writing than 3. 3 is still a fun game, but it feels very Bethesda-ized, if that makes sense.

I liked X and XII. But they were the last. XII-2 and on wards signaled the end.

Every Final Fantasy is so different with each entry and made by a different team each time that I don't think you can ever really say that. Plenty of people hated X but loved XII so whats to say the people who hated XIII won't love XV?
VII - Loved
VIII - Not loved but has it's cult fanbase
IX - Loved
X - 50/50
XII - Loved
XIII - Not liked
XV - Who knows?
