^I'm sure I could talk her into letting a guest stay, especially if you are bringing gifts from the States lol

Yeah, I think 1080P 60fps should be a standard for all games. Every detail just comes alive in most games at this standard.

I doubt the WiiU version of Ryu ga gotaku 1&2 HD are running at 1080p 60fps though. It still looks great on my tv.

Please be good news. I sincerely hope that Sony fucking deliver. If Microsoft are truly bringing back the likes of Phantom Dust then Sony need to step their game up and give these niche games a fighting chance, since they're really boring me lately.

I think Ishin is the worst RGG ever.

Substories are only 67, and a lot of them are like "give object x to person y"
Revelations have no more funny scenes
The city is big, but there is no countryside(?), forest etc (Kenzan had)
No more hostess (well, "Oiran"), this time you can`t talk, date etc, you can only play 3 minigames
Lot of time to play, but almost everything is BATTLE!
50 levels for battle style, 99+99 base levels, 40 dungeons, so many low drop rate item to collect to make katana, guns etc.
Just battle, battle, battle, no more funny things to do, no more the old, funny, RGG.
Playing Ishin made me want to play old RGGs...
I hope next one will be better...I`m very disappointed.

This sounds grim. "Battle battle battle" is exactly what I don't want from a Yakuza game. There is already more than enough battling in the prevous ones. I'm guessing they just rushed this out as something to stick in the PS4. Well, at least this will one Yakuza game I won't be crying over when it doesn't get localised.

Operation Rainfall and LAI have posted an update on their fan polls to localise certain Sega and Konami games, which included Yakuza HD Collection and Yakuza 5.

OFFICIAL LAI UPDATE 05/01/2014:
Thank you all for your support in the Operation Rainfall initiative to convince Sega and Konami to bring specific games from Japan to the US (and in the best case scenario, to other markets as well).

We wanted to provide you with an update regarding the Operation Rainfall and LAI collaboration. We reached out to both SEGA and Konami, presenting the numbers from Operation Rainfall’s fan poll and letting them know of our interest in providing localization discounts for games targeted in this poll. We did our very best, however neither company has expressed interest in moving forward with localization at this time, but we will be sure to report back if we have any updates!

In the meantime, be sure to stay involved on Operation Rainfall’s website. They keep fans informed of the latest game localization news and are always looking for new ways to bring non-localized titles abroad. Operation Rainfall has been a fantastic partner and a source of inspiration, as their projects and initiatives are truly a labor of love. Your support means so much to them as they continue on in their quest to help bring you games that otherwise wouldn’t reach international markets.

Seems even when offered a localisation discount, Sega still weren't committed to localising their Yakuza games.

Maybe because they're working on it themselves already?

...
My hype won't die! :2gunfire:

Unless we get an announcement soon I just don't see it. Every PS3 Yakuza game was released in March and that came and went. By next March the PS4 will have been out for almost a year and a half and based on how well it's selling I don't think Sony will care to much about supporting their old system, which makes me think that building the list may be more geared towards PS4 games.

We live in hope.

They hinted at news coming in February which hasn't happened yet. Maybe they'll get a small spot at E3? Or just break news via a press release around that time.

Yeah, I think E3 is our last port of call, for Y5 and/or Ishin. Fingers crossed, touch wood, prayers made, wishbone pulled; this is it. Has to be. C'mon Sony.

Who are you referencing? SOA or Sony localization team?

That was from Gio Corsi, one of Sony's guys in Third Party Productions.
