^ those are pretty great, his Wind Waker one is amazing.

Here's a song from a game called Arc rise fantasia. It's not very good and somehow manages to have worse voice acting than Shenmue. However a lot of a the battle themes are pretty good. This one boss theme stands out in particular.

I only saw this game being played on Game Grumps and didn't look very good. That said this song is great. It sounds more like you would find in a arcade racing game or something from the mid 90's. Yet this is the early 90's on SNES. The SNES sound chip continues to impress.

Here is some wacky video game music from a game that is about as wacky as video games can get, Bubba N' Stix.
It has quite a lot of crazy tunes that are so different from other games they just deserve a mention a least once.
Anyway, the title theme is the tune I will highlight here:

SNES yes had a fantastic soundchip but Genesis often get's the short end. Many games like Sonic 3D Blast Ys III and many more show Genny had it's own badass yet charming sound

I actually prefer the Genny's sound chip. The SNES could pull off some great things (especially when it came to mimicking orchestral sounds), but to me the Genesis chip is more evocative of that era in gaming. It might be seen as a detractor by some, but I've always thought the Genesis chip tended to sound a little more "metalic" while the SNES pulled off sounds that were a little more "organic." And I actually really like the more artificial tone of the Genesis.
Even when attempting a more orchestral sound, there really is a special charm to the artificiality of it all.
(not to take anything away from the SNES, etc etc... some of the best OST's ever are still on the SNES)

This to me is probably the best example of the Genesis doing anything orchestral. I said it a long time ago, but Yuzo Koshiro really ought to be more revered for this kind of stuff, rather than his SoR or Shinobi work. This isn't his catchiest, but the technical quality of it is pretty damn impressive considering the hardware. I'm always impressed every time I pop Beyond Oasis in.

Awesome track. My favorite from Snow Surfers (Rippin' Riders).
