I post one little $10 castlevania, and now you're loading up on the stuff. I've created a monster!

Dammit...
I bought a PSone, hoping that the sound delay that happens when I record PS1 games using the PS2 wouldn't be an issue. Bu no, it's still there, even on the original hardware. The weirdest thing is, it records just fine if I use the backwards compatability of the PS3. But if I do that, I can't use certain PS1-specific peripherals...
Fucking technical difficulties.
Either way, I also bought up Eternal Ring for PS2, and Shadow Tower for PS1.
Was damn tempted by the SNES copy of Sparkster they had at the store too, but I need to save a bit...

I didn't know the PS3 could do PS1 games until about 3 months ago. I'm gonna have to get me some PS1 games sometime, if not a PS1 itself. What peripherals are those anyway?

It's only the early 80gb PS3's that can play them, if memory serves. I think they removed the PS2 hardware from all later models, and with it went the PS1 compatability.

I was under the impression that they removed the PS2 hardware but retained the PS1 compatibility. I don't have a PS1 game handy to check though.

I'll try right now
edit, my PS3 is only a few months old, it was an uncharted bundle, so I guess those slims and the ones before it play PS1 games. I'm playing Saga Frontier 2 on it.

Interesting. Guess they had to keep some things in so they could still do PS1 games as PSN downloads.
