When it comes to gaming magazines, there are two in particular that are very special to me:
My original copy withered away so years later I bought two copies. Unfortunately, were lost in a flood when I left them at a friend's place. I just bought this one and have my eyes on a duplicate that comes with a poster.
I dunno, I have very fond memories reading through this magazine. It had an in-depth strategies for Mario 64, Doom, Tekken 2, and more games. But I think the sneak peek of Wild 9 is what I remember fondly the most, it contains artwork that cannot be found online. I have a real special affinity toward the game even though it's not that great. I just love the characters and the world they inhabit, I would love to get my hands on it one day.
It also has a sneak peek of Neverhood, even though it's only two pages. Plus the novelty of it being a bite-sized magazine was something I really enjoyed. Too bad it never caught on and they discontinued the format after this issue.
The only other magazine i'm hunting for is this one:
It's harder to find for some reason, but it had a sneak peek of Star Fox 64 (even had a flipbook on the corner) and a great article showcasing the ill-fated N64DD. Thing that stood out to me was the big article on the Mission Impossible game and on the other page was a tiny article on Goldeneye 64, which I found funny years later since they thought Mission Impossible was going to be the more successful game.
I'll still keep searching...
