Boss battles make a good part of a videogame to me.

You did well to purchase Bulletstorm, OL. It's a lot of fun. Sure, this is coming from the guy that liked Duke Nukem Forever (a lot at that), but Bulletstorm is my favourite FPS of the Ps3/360 generation. It lacks more boss battles (see?!) but besides that it's a riot from start to finish. It feels like a modern take on 32 bit era FPSs (sure, it doesn't feature the excellence in level design of those, but the overall flavour is similar) and has more than a handful of cool set pieces to play through. Play it in one or two sittings, I know you will have a good time.

Sure, this is coming from the guy that liked Duke Nukem Forever (a lot at that)...

Been meaning to get that too, actually. Most people gave it shit, but the reasons I always read basically amounted to "it's more like a late-90s shooter than a modern one," and I'm quite okay with that. I'm still one of the oddballs that actually prefers the original Half-Life over Half-Life 2, if that says anything. Not that I don't love modern shooters too, I can just appreciate all types.

Just snagged this on ebay. Been wanting to find it for ages.



Soundtrack to the arcade version of Burning Force, and in absolutely excellent condition no less. "Used," but so completely intact it may as well be new.
A cool 20 bucks. Last copy I saw was somewhere around 50, and the condition was nowhere near as nice.
So yeah, pretty excited to get this.

You guys might check your local Best Buy next time you're out and about. I stopped there for a new UPS and found they have a small clearance section for games now. Got these for $25 plus tax for the both of them. Wasn't interested in Project X Zone before but couldn't pass it up for $10.

Ever Grace? Damn you just brought me back. I actually enjoyed that game, though much preferred Eternal Ring.

I played a good few hours into Eternal Ring several months back. Loved it. Same style as King's Field, but not quite as oppressive, in either atmosphere or difficulty. Been meaning to get back into it eventually. Just felt really enjoyable, from what I played.
Mostly got Evergrace because of Henry's glowing assessment of it. Really want to get Forever Kingdom (its sequel) eventually too.

It's been a little while nice I've played a platformer. I've only heard good things about it nice the news broke of its digital release a week ago. And at £4 it's cheaper than your usual PS2 Classic download.
