Yeah, most of them don't, but some go apeshit about it, like Swery, Suda and that Cavia (RIP) guy Taro Yoko.

Swery seems a bit nuts, I would love to meet him if he ever went to NYCC, or If i end up going to TGS next year. I dunno much about Taro outside of his work.

Swery would like to meet you to. He wants to meet everybody, lol! Offer him a nice tour and a good coffe and I'm sure he'll visit you one day. :)

It'd be great if I could buy some of Travis Touchdown's t-shirts.

I want some also.

I missed the chance but I wanted this shirt. It was red shirt with this. From the old arcade game The Ninja Warriors

I've been playing OB64 all day long and I'm tired as hell. My head hurts and I didn't even prepare myself any dinner since I got so hooked.

Didn't even the scratch its surface, whereas I technically would be able to beat most modern games with the same amount of time. Games are getting too easy and too short. Don't let them fool you it's about "streamlining the experience".

I would also like to add that all these posters from big gaming portals, wordpress' blogs, discussion boards etc that tell you how they've got 101% in every JRPG are so fucking irritating that it's not even funny. These people just fucking read Gamefaqs and/or guides instead of actually playing anything. If they did play this stuff, the wouldn't have time to post so much in the first place. These games take time and you can't speedrun most of them, especially if you're a completionists. I guess liars are everywhere, but on the net they are especially irritating.

I play a game to have fun and beat it. I never get OCD about completion. I was never a big sidequest person. Some games I do it like Zelda Wind Waker. I never liked FF optional bosses with 9999999999999999999 HP. But I do agree I liked games in the 90's when they often presented more of a challenge. Esp arcade hard home ports.

I'm the exact opposite, but it's not even about that. Beating OB64 is long even if you're not "OCD about completion".

I used to be a completionist but I don't have time for that stuff anymore. But it was fun to know I completed a game at 100%.

BTW - anybody here is using this service?

Basically, it's a portal where you can download obscure Japanese games of the old. They have things like The Scheme, a kickass action RPG for PC-88 that never got ported to anything else so that portal is pretty much the only way to play this game legally nowadays. Their fees are rather low and you can use PayPal. I'd like to register there in the future, especially that they offer OSTs as well.

You can check samples from The Scheme's OST here (YUZO FUCKING KOSHIRO!!!).

You know looking at some of my games like Illusion of Gia,Grandia & Gaiares. 2 of these guys don't exist anymore. Game Arts may as well be dead. Renovation(Telnet) Quintet are gone and no one remembers them or even knows about them. (aside from us know it alls) It's really sad. This is top quality stuff. I really miss these guys.
Still the upside to collecting is having the chance to play these games. They should release some of these to VC or PSN or something. If they have not already. Younger generations should play this stuff. Yes that is the old man in me speaking.
Just so glad I got to live in that era.

Very Rare that i go for 100% in a game, I have to really like it. Like Alan Wake loved that so i wanted to find all the collectables in the game even if the 100 thermos part was just a bitch.
