Best action game you have ever played?

Well what is it? Remember this is best action game you have PLAYED. Not what you think should be the best action game. My fav action game is

Devil May Cry :- The controls were cool, the graphics were good, the audio contained heavy metal tracks, the actions you performed were terrific and just the whole thought of being a badass demon killer just gets me all pumped up!!

I think out of all the action games I've ever played, the most innovative and most played for me was BIONIC COMMANDO on the NES.

Far better than the arcade version it was based on. The premise, weapons and retractable arm made the game such a blast to play. To date, I have not played an action/adventure game that can match its innovation and overall perfection.

Gunstar Heroes, most definitely. It's like videogame crack.

Ah yes, those two games rule. Especially Gunstar Heroes. That game owned.

As far as action games go, I would have to say I really like "Alice" for PC.

hmm, I'll have to say Ghost Recon. Its got everything I like about stealth and action, and I can pretty much kick anybodys ass online at it.
