Just picked up U.F.O. Yakisoban for SNES. This game is absurd. You go around as the UFO mascot and beat up corporate thugs. After you beat up each boss, you shoot yakisoba at them and they get caught. You also occasionally find a unicycle that gives you temporary invincibility.

NIER. That opening dialogue on the video at the beginning when you put the disc in :lol:

I set Ico aside for now. Playing Majin. Honestly enjoy it more. About to get the Fire fruit.

That was actually one of the few parts of the game I just didn't like. Kaine's voice acting is just so "anime" that it felt like they were trying way too hard to be edgy or something. Thankfully Nier and Weiss both have better voice acting, so it didn't really feel like that again to me for the rest of the game.

Almost to the 3rd boss. The game is challenging yet easy. Most the enemies and the first two bosses are not all that hard. The challenge is figuring out how to kill certain enemies and the bosses and how to get from one place to the next. Majin is really awesome. Also I popped in Lost in Shadow and a great game so far. Like I said it's Limbo meets Ico and that isn't a bad thing.

I didn't like how uncalled for it was, right when you start the game this guy starts yelling and cursing.

beat the third boss in Majin and a few hours into Lost in Shadow. My god these games were overlooked. They are great! Esp if you are waiting for the Last Guardian. This will ease the wait. Majin is the best of the two but LiS is very good as well. Also some great music. They are a blast to play.

Majin had a very odd case of misfortune. It obviously wasn't mainstream material (which means the grand majority of gamers were going to inevitably overlook it anyway), and it ended up disappointing the "niche" gamers who had been looking forward to it because it wasn't artsy-fartsy enough for them (they were hoping for a more subtle, melancholic affair, and ended up with a Muppets-meet-Zelda-style adventure).
Too few people were able to just accept it for what it ended up as, and just have fun with it.
One of the biggest bum raps this gen, unfortunately.
I think in time, it may end up with a bigger following (thanks to gamers like you, who play it after the fact without any pre-release hooplah tainting their expectations) kind of like how Megaman Legends has. But for now, it's just another unappreciated gem.

I don't really imagine The Last Guardian will be anything like it though. People compared Majin to Team Ico's games all the way up until it was released, and it proved to be nothing like them. I don't think it'll be any different with TLG.

Used to have it on the PS2. Fucking awesome game. Graphics were immense on it too, considering. Reminded me of how good the graphics were in Die Hard Trilogy 2 for the original PlayStation.

Just got home and tired as fuck. Put in Enslaved again. I have to give NT credit on this one. Minus Monkey kinda being a asshole the game is quite enjoyable and IMO a contender for the best looking HD game going for realism. It's so pretty and alive and lush. Not grey and brown. Facial animations are great. Just too bad about Combat and framerate. HS & what I hear DmC has those problems as well.
