Fighting games are alittle different though because they're specifically competitive. Compare vanilla SF2 to Championship or VF5 to VF5R, truthfully the genre is very iteration heavy even Fatal Fury and KOF saw new games every few months to a year. I don't think they should try and charge an arm and a leg, with DLC it actually makes fighting games easier to release Capcom just hasn't realized that DLC should help extend gameplay past its limitations, not within them.

As for Nintendo i dunno, they re-released a bunch of Wii versions of gamecube games and then there are those collections but they usually make expensive games easier to find or add a new playstyle (I don't think I'll ever play majora's mask on an n64 controller again) its not like there was ocarina of time, then a few months later ocarina of time complete that had an extra dungeon. Generally if you buy a nintendo game you'll be playing that version of it for a few years.

Still Capcom and nintendo aren't as bad as say Deep silver releasing a GOTY for Dead Island (lol game of the year lol) or how Bethesda is absolutely reliable to release one within 18 months. uncharted, red dead, batman, LA noire, theres just a lot of "heres all the dlc" packages being released by American/European companies is all I'm sayin.

Yeaaaa I WISH they'd do some Saturn and DC re-releases. I've jumped on just about all the ones they have like Virtual On. It'd be great to see shining force 3 or Dragon force on new consoles like Guardian Heroes.

Enslaved is a gorgeous game. Not very far just turned it on to try it out. It's fun. Combat is very shallow, like Starfox Adventures shallow...in fact it's exactly the same. I wish I was allowed to explore these ruins instead of fighting every step of the way. Still enjoyable.

Just played a dab of RoF. Feels like a PSone RPG with updated visuals. That aint a bad thing. Something wrong with my PoP something I must be doing wrong. I played a couple chapters of Enslaved. The demo pissed me off because it froze. This however did not. Fun gam and my god is it pretty. Character facial animations look great. Well done NT but still think DmC is poo. VF I can't play as it's a Pal copy and at the time did not realize that. Ok layed it before and another import can't hurt. Not tried Maximo yet. Heard they are brutal and go for the ghost and goblins universe. Jak & Daxter 3$ so why not. Never played but this is the game where OL get's his name. Oh and I'm at 298 games. So close to my yearly goal. 300. And no I don't just buy in bulk I carefully pick each one based on interest and price. My god I don't miss being a blind fanboy limited to one company anymore. \:D/

DA2 and Kingdom hearts, picked up new for $10 at Best Buy and $13 at Sears respectively.

Most people expect to pay $20 for discounted games. I expect to pay less.

As I said in another topic, I've just purchased a Neo Geo CD off Ebay. I know the CD version isn't the most wanted but it is cheaper and so are the games. I've been promised delivery for Wednesday next week so until then here's the Ebay pictures.

Does anyone else have one? What are the best games to get?

Actually, thanks to Ryudo for posting his SNK video on his youtube channel, it helped me decide. Had a few ebay failures this week. Lost out on an Amiga CD32 and an Atari Jaguar.

Let me know what it's like, can't touch mine till next week.

The seller also has a pocket colour for sale, tempting but I've already spent a lot of money this week.

Really fun. They were all great. Tho I had the most fun with Baseball stars 2 even tho I'm not a sports game kinda guy. It was like NFL Blitz but baseball. Also Sengoku was great fun. Really odd beat em up/hack n slash. Magician lord is great. Anything Fatal Fury, King of Fighters. War of the monsters. Metal Slug. There was another Beat em up on the disc I forgot the name but was like Final Fight light.

The SNK game I have the most fond memories of is Mechanized Attack because my grandma had a NES at her house with it on it and I used to love playing it.
