El Dorado's gate was great, and Kartia was pretty good. It'd be cool to see a Ninokuni type deal in his art.

It'd be interesting, but I think the aforementioned wispiness of his art would make it difficult. It's the kind of thing that looks great as a two-dimensional composition, but I think applying it to 3D models would place too much rigidity on it. Make it look stiff, when the strength of his art is that it's not stiff at all.
Of course someone could always surprise me with something like that, but as I'm imagining it now, I can't see a 3D render (even if cel-shaded) doing justice to the fluidity of his work.
Maybe 2D though. Imagine the animation quality of Muramasa, but with Amano's artwork instead... that'd be gorgeous.

Yeah no one said it had to be 3D. Either one as long as it's done right.

Oh shoot, for some reason I thought you said something about 3D.

I caved. I'd been looking for a good deal for an XL, but missed out on a 169.99 sale for it at Best Buy a couple weeks back. So I saw it today at Target for the regular price, but with a 25 dollar giftcard with purchase. So I got the system, and used the giftcard toward Kid Icarus.

You are lucky OL, all my gaming purchases I had planned on getting at tax time, forget about them. I was going to get a 3DS, I still want one, even if for no other reason than to play DQ5 on something other than my first gen DS... Ugh. my car breaking down last month really screwed over alot of shit. Maybe over summer I will be able to.

Figured since it's supposedly in high demand, I may as well grab Fire Emblem while I have the chance. I figured it would probably get multiple printings, so it shouldn't have been that big a deal... but hey, better safe than sorry. I'd rather get it now for regular price, rather than later for even higher (if that happens).
One thing about the game already pissed me the hell off though: no subtitles during cutscenes. I'd prefer to play in Japanese (nice that the option is there), but why no subs?
Just a really stupid oversight. You'd think they wouldn't make dumb mistakes like this after Onimusha 1 did it so many years ago.

Haven't tried Zill O'll yet.

Actually Nintendo is trying to push the game on eshop so I don't think they're reprinting a lot of 3DS games.

While in game (I think on the world map) hit "X" then "R", it'll show you another options menu that lets you turn subtitles on.

The DMC Collection got lost in the mail, so I had to reorder it.

Both this gen's Prince of Persia games for $9.76. Not a bad deal, I couldn't pass it up.

Oh, okay, that might help. It's still kind of dumb there's no option from the get-go. I'll still have no clue what Chrom is saying in the cutscene right after the first little "training" battle unless I try it in English once.

Under rated games IMO. The PoP 08 game just needed a better combat system and the ability to die.
