Yeah saw that on Eurogamer, never played them so depending on price i might pick them up but damn sega are avoiding Shenmue 1 and 2 HD at all costs at the moment.

I actually never thought they'd come out with a Yakuza HD collection.
Or, more accurately, this one should be called the Ryu ga Gotoku HD collection, since there's obviously no word of a western release. I'm hoping against hope for it, though. HD graphics would be nice, but it'd be even more amazing if we could finally get the first game with Japanese voices, instead of that ugly English dub we got stuck with. Those damn voices are the only thing that ruins it when I try to play through Y1 again, so fixing up that problem would be brilliant.
I'd love to play the first game again, it's just hard to get through after being spoiled by the presentation in every subsequent game in the series.

Instant buy. I've wanted to play the PS2 games since I got into Yakuza 3. Absolute dream come true if it makes it over.. Brings more hope for a Western Yakuza 5 too.

I know what you mean, someone on the official forums has made an upscaled video of Yakuza 1 in 1080p through an emulator.

Uhh no I will pray for Yakuza HD because I really want to play the first two games. Sorry Bluecast, its Yakuza all the way for me. I'd rather even see it than Shenmue HD.

Would make sense them bringing it out over here to try and get people into the series more. Story plays a big part in the series and people without a PS2 really missed out.

well sonic adventure 2 hd was just announced.

Don't get me wrong im over the moon sega are finally releasing these golden titles. But i just don't understand why they won't release their most requested franchise when its already complete?????

well guys, it looks like the next HD title to be released will be "90 Minutes Sega Championship Football" or even "Boy Kanipan: Mystery of Robot"
