Front Mission 4 technically has two "intros"; a fully-cg one before the title screen, and a story-related one using the in-game engine once you choose "new game". I prefer the in-game one.
Really just one of the coolest action intros I've ever seen. Seriously, if you're a fan of giant robots at all, this one is well worth watching. Beautifully directed, nicely choreographed, excellent sound design and mixing, and overall just very exciting and cool. As giant robot stuff goes, it's somewhere between the plodding, more "realistic" style of something like Mechwarrior, and the faster, anime-ish style of something like Zone of the Enders. The perfect mix, and it's one of the main reasons I love Front Mission so much.'
Video's a little grainy (looks much better on an actual TV screen with the game in your PS2) but it still gets the idea across:
