ok now im worried. usually hitman trailers focus on the fact that its a stealth game. but that trailer showed off the action... :???: WTF games are changing for the worse no doubt. but please not hitman cant we still have hitman!!??

Dont worry, previews say the core Hitman gameplay is still there but they have made him more agile[not POP style].

Little info on the storyline from the xbox 360 market place says 47 is hired to kill the person closest to him[Diana] and ends up betrayed by those he trusted and hunted by police while in the middle of a dark conspiracy.

Now this im not happy with!

New voice actors for 47 and Diana ](*,) and it appears Jesper Kyd's not doing the music....


-The game is primarily set in Chicago.
-Hitman: Absolution begins with Agent 47 on the run from the Chicago police.
-IO's Glacier 2 engine will supposedly offer fantastic facial animations.
-Hitman: Absolution will use cover mechanics.
-There will be a bigger focus on staying hidden, rather than staying in disguise.
-Instinct mode highlights enemies and their patrols through walls, similar to Batman: Arkham Asylum's detective mode. [Only on easy mode]
-It's powered by silent take downs.
-No big scale map screen as in previous games. Mini map still highlights points of interest New threat meter is a grey circle that wavers in directions where enemies may spot 47.
-There will be improvised weapons players can use that are unique to each location.
-Players can take hostages as human shields as in previous games.
-This hostage taking prompted some complex AI patterns in the demo, with cops fanning out realistically to keep sight of the target.
-Levels will be divided into checkpoints for the first time.
-Some stages will be as large as in old Hitman games, others will be much smaller.
-New structure allows for greater variety and complex set pieces, as well as story driven moments.
-Having a disguise doesn't mean you'll be able to fool everybody.
-Plot will be more personal to 47, with the Hitman knowing some of his targets.
-Agent 47 and Diana will have new voice actors.
-Hand to hand combat will be involved.
-Instinct mode increases disguise effectiveness.[Easy mode]
-As cops in the demo question Agent 47′s movements while he's disguised as a police man, he enters instinct and uses his police radio to fool them.
-Each disguise has safe spots, like a box of doughnuts for police men.
-You'll be completely safe in that disguise for as long as you want.
-New engine offers on the fly editing for AI. AI will also affect group behavior.
-Whatever you do, the AI will react to that dynamically.
-The way crowds will be used will be different .

47 sounds like Christian Bale with the new voice, awful, i don't like the cover mechanics thing either, Hitman's always been about hiding in plain sight, oh well :sad:

I dot mind the wall cover seeing as the series is know for having shoot out levels anyways but according to Edge the combat is a lot like Batmans :???:

And this is really sad as far as 47's voice work goes....

They've already boldly morphed splinter cell into something its not. prepare for the worst Hitman fans. ONE THING I DO KNOW is that they have added a see through wall perk (source: EDGE exclusive preview). They've also added linear set pieces. Gaming is on a slippy, call of duty sponsored slope.

Yeah instinct mode only works on the easy setting. Not happy that its only set in one place this time. Looks like SA will still be the best Hitman game but im sure ill still pick this up.
