Ryudo wrote:^ I like how you named a bunch of games Sega didn't even develop, just published.

Still, it' Sega backing those games (Bayonetta, Vanquish, whatnot), financially speaking.
It' Sega taking the risk, betting on them, where maybe other developers wouldn't. Surely Platinum didn't choose Sega out of the blue.

Credit where it's due.

And with Sega making the Yakuza series, Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown, Afterburner Climax, Phantasy Star Portable 2, the new Virtua On, Valkyrie Chronicles 2, among others, it's so very stupid to say Sega isn't giving players worthy games.

Everything is going uphill with Sega, these days.
I personally believe that in the next couple of years it will even get better.

We also got a glut of good DS games out of Sega. I personally enjoyed Infinite Space, Phantasy Star and Shining Force Feather a ton.

Still only intrested in the Yakuza series. Not a fan of fighters so don't care for VF, PS always looked average and I really didn't enjoy the demo of VC.

The demo does so much injustice to the full game. Pick it up and you may be surprised how much you enjoy it. Cheap enough now too for an impulse buy..

^^Yes, absolutely.
Valkyria Chronicles is excellent. I didn't think much of the demo either, but I gave the game a go while it was on sale one time (since EVERY review for it was so positive, and I figured that positivity must be coming from somewhere), and the full game is so much better. It's one of the best games this gen, hands down.
Play it.

I just really couldn't stand the fighting in it. Who knows maybe one day I may impulse buy it.

Its only about 20$ dude, I say just go for it. Even if you find it mediocre you only paid 20$ for it (less if you find it used and do the whole card thing)

£14. Treat yourself.

Might get Sonic Colours on DS for a Christmas present for someone. Wouldn't mind having a go on it. Truth be told, it's one of the Wii games I wouldn't mind playing..

I may end up eating a few plates of Crow to my earlier feelings about this game.
This new trailer makes it look actually..well good.
I sure hope it is.

What's good about it? Looks like the same garbage they've been releasing except it has Dig Dug levels now.

The only thing close to interesting is the pre-order item associated with it:

And that's interesting in a really sad kind of way.

Looks nice to me. I mean, not a first day buy or anything, but it looks like another step towards making good Sonic games.
I fucking hate the music though. Why do they always have to add lyrics and singing in the newer Sonic games (ever since Adventure)? The song in this trailer would have been good, and as I said a while back, it would slightly evoke the sound of some of the music from the 16-bit games... but then some new-age bullshit auto-toned singing started up, and totally ruined it.
Blah.
Still, I may actually pick this up somewhere down the line (once it costs less), just for some simple fun. It'd be the first time getting a Sonic game for me since... well, Sonic Adventure 2. Gameplay is looking nice, and even though it's still mostly straight lines, there are a few points where it branches, and you can figure out your own way through (like the old games).
Besides that godawful song, I like how it looks.

^ Yet again i agree(hey on a roll here :P) except on the Sonic Adventure music,I liked Sonic Adventures music from both games> BUt yes I do also long now for the old music. They should do what the Mario Galaxy series is doing and re mixing old music with full recorded orchestras. Erm...if Sega can spend the money for that.
