It also features one of the best NG+ ever (different endgame scenario set in a tower with loads of bosses that you have to defeat as you make your way up the tower, with new boss and new ending that brings further closure to the storyline). Love the game's battle system, shame we never seen any other game utilising it or expanding on it.

This is really awkward.

Basically, the Broken Sword 5 kickstarter reached its goal, but now they want more money. In order to get them, they've set "stretch goals". Each time such a goal is met, BS5 is supposed to get 'better', and if they get 1 000 000 greens, they will greenlight Beneath a Steel Sky 2.

The whole deal just doesn't make sense, to be honest, and it seems like a very lame way to raise money. Many people are pretty irritated that they 'know' exactly how awesome BS5 will be based on the money they will get and that Beneath a Steel Sky 2 deal seems pretty fishy.

Nah, thats a deal breaker for me. If i paid money, and that happened i would want it back. Heres the figure, heres what we will make once we reach that figure, so enjoy. Thats how it should be. Thats a piss take, and if anything, a rip off.

The same thing came up recently for that new andriod console, the Ouya. Basically, if it doesn't make production then investors won't be getting their money back. You would of thought with something as sophisticated as Kickstarted in place it'd be more than just a charity play..

Eh so if you set a target of £10,000, and it makes £9,999 then were does all that money go??

Mistwalker in every game likes to have Tilt Shift Camera angles and blurs to trick players in thinking it looks far better than it really does. Not complaining but I finally noticed that after playing Blue Dragon,The Last Story and now Lost Odyssey.

I don't really have a problem with their "stretch goals" to be honest. You can do more with more money, so why not let the people know exactly what they can do with the extra funds (guaranteeing levels in Africa and the Middle East, and so on). BASS2 should probably warrant it's own kickstarter, but nonetheless the prospect of it being greenlit is effin amazing!

Don't get me wrong I don't think Kickstarter is faultless, and there will certainly come a time in the near future when people who pledged money won't get back what they were promised. But thems are the breaks. And I think the few mess ups kickstarter will produce will be more than worth the many wonderful gems that will be delivered to us free of a publisher's grubby handprints. Devs finally won't have to worry about including in vogue features that the publisher demand.

From what I understand the money only comes out of you account should the game reach it's goal.

You think so? I think that's an utopia you're talking about.

I hate how small devs are abusing kickstarter by the time i put something out people will hate the site.

I always find out about things a couple days after the rest of you guys, it seems. However, 25th anniversary mega man game is a social ios Xover game... and it looks pretty dumb.

Check out this article I didn't read:

Sorry if everyone knows about this.
