Nope, you buy them. You can also exchange Nintendo Stars/Coins for Nintendo Points.
Nintendo Stars/Coins can be obtained by the codes Nintendo adds to their games and hardware.

Manged to get all my saves and some Arcade games onto a USB and have transferred them back but its a pain in the arse having to re download all the Arcade games and DLC that i want. Even more annoying when BT is being so fucking anal right now.
Cant even play most games because they stop the download even when I'm not actually playing online

If TDA hasn't connected his Wii to the internet and the Connection Ambassador promotion is still going on, you could get 500 Wii points out of the deal.

I already did that. That's how I suddenly have 500 Wii Points more.
I'll probably get some NES game, but damn, it's a shame not to get Rondo of Blood or Ys Book I & II because of lousy 100-200 Wii Points.

Only someone with a Wii in your region can do the Ambassador thing with you. I'm not even sure the promotion is still going on.
I've been wanting Monster Hunter Tri for awhile. If I can scrounge up the money, we could play online together.

You would have to change your country to UK in Wii Settings and register me on your Wii.
