See I do agree with you on a personal level but there's an amazing French Street Fighter player called Luffy who does very well using an original Playstation pad.

Well theres always personal preference some people work around it and do it well but yea in terms of raw input its not the best.

Mitts & WRC are the only people I ever seen hate the Genesis Dpad. Like Manny said it works flawlessly. Sony it often disconnects. Xbox d pad...biggest joke. Only responds when it wants to. Nintendo's. It's great for up down left right but not for fighting games and playing SCV4 makes it harder. Also Playing sonic on other systems D pads the controls are slightly stiff while on Genny it's perfection.

Saying somethings ok but nothing special is hating it?

Maybe the Genesis and Mega Drive had different designs for the gamepad for some reason. Either way, it was loose as fuck and practically spun like a fucking compass. And no diagonals tend to work better, as when a controller has them, well, see my previous sentence.

You know, a racing game with a visual style like that might actually be pretty cool.

Remember hearing about a PSN game that was a platformer but all the backgrounds where drawn by a 4 or 5 year old and he did all the sound effects for stuff like rockets. No idea what it was called. (Waits for Vyse or Segata)

Off the top of my head either fancypants adventures or And yet it moves.

I also very highly recommend Papo and Yo
