My main problem with the games is that it never feels like being an assassin compared to games with real stealth gameplay.

Exactly, this is one of my main issues with the game. I don't think Ubisoft ever really got the 'assassin' part of the game down, and instead starting adding in other elements. Or at least not what I was fully expecting from an assassin game, anyway. With that said I did still enjoy the games, and I will no doubt end up getting AC3 at some point.

They kind of came up with their own idea of how an assassin would operate. It's not about getting in an out silently (that's what the Hitman games are for); rather, the game flow sort of dictates that you get in silently (if possible), make your kill in flashy and ruckus-y fashion, then initiate a big chase through the city until you find somewhere to lay low. Part of the "lore" of the games, so to speak, is that their kills are meant to be very public, in order to send a message to their enemies. They were never meant to be completely freeform, "choose your method" kinds of games. They may be "open world" games, but the missions are always pretty linear, more like level-based games.

I find it funny that American commentators were completely non-flippant about British outrage at recent marketing material showing Connor killing nobody but British soldiers. But brand the American flag, and suddenly American's think Ubisoft is out of order. Dear only knows what they'll be like when they do show Conor killing American soldiers.

I've not actually seen anyone offended by this. All I keep seeing is people saying. "Oh I bet people in Britain will be pissed off you kill them in AC3."

It just seems to be people trying to make an issue over nothing to try and start some controversy.

^^I detest overly-passionate patriotism (it's usually felt in a completely blind fashion), but come on, at the very least give some respect to what the flag represents and what people have done to protect it. And the rights you have because of it.

I couldn't care less about Ubisoft playing with the flag's design for the game, but saying you'd applaud its burning?

Because it would be funny and I would laugh as people make a big deal over a stupid piece of cloth that people pretend to have meaning when whatever it stood for once is gone. It's just a rag now.

I burned a flag as a teen just to piss some lamewad off.

Hate to get personal about it, but I find it ironic that someone who receives basically all the financial support they have from the US government would say something like that. The flag partly represents your very right to live, which the US is attempting to support.

Go to 2:07 when his hiding/blending in a little circle appears over his head and small lines and now and then you get the virtual world effect appear over him[for instance when he runs].

The circle is a bit a annoying, I wonder if it serves any purpose to the game. But I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out.
