From what I read when it first released, the PS3 version had a lot of bugs and glitches, don't recall anything major on the 360 version. If you think the story is dull then you might as well just not even bother,if you don't like this one you won't like the sequels.

Found the article.

Wow, never had those issues on the 360, and I rammed it to fuck. Collected all the flags n everythin. The only glitch I came across was the disappearing Templar that you have to leave the area and enter from another section to get to appear again.

Just sell it n get it on the 360.

I had the PS3 version and I don't remember it being that buggy at all.

You might have just struck out and got a bad copy.

 I been watching Video Games Awesome and they keep getting pissed at it. PS3 version as well. However I hear this was all pretty much fixed in later games so when I see cheap I may pick them up. But man this is like driving a car with no steering wheel and one wheel

the ps3 version is pretty bad, I think I bought it because my 360 was broken at the time.

don't remember a public execution in 1 tho.

AC1 did have quite a few bugs.. As did 2.. As did 3 to an even greater extent. Ubisoft for some reason never give QA enough time with it or something. Or they just dont care or have enough development time. Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon and all that are also super super buggy too. I dont know if I can even point to one super polished Ubisoft game.

Just put the disc in and started playing. When did gaming become so complicated just to play a game? Why can't anything just work? Patches and crap was never need back in the day. Gaming has become performing open heart surgery and torture just to have fun.

Thats part of it, but QA departments aren't really that good anymore. QA for most companies is seen as something that has to happen, but not worth spending much time and money on. Most of the QA departments I've worked in or visited, the majority of the workers didn't know how to use tools, or even log bugs.
