I'm really hoping for P5. As much as I loved P4, it had a great run and we've had a lot of different adaptions. Time for something new.

On Nov 24, at 8pm, Atlus will be broadcasting the Persona announcement across Japan on large public screens in six major cities, along with the livestream.

So the announcement is taking place in 12 hours time from now. I'd laugh so heartily if Atlus (and SEGA, remember they own them now) continued their Nintendo love and announced it for Wii U.

Index, Atlus’ parent company (now a part of Sega), have filed a trademark for something called “Deviliser” in Japan.

What exactly is Deviliser? Your guess is as good as ours, but judging solely by the name, it sounds like something related to—or inspired by—Shin Megami Tensei.

If it is something Kaneko's intimately working on, it'll have me more excited than Persona 5.
I kinda like the name either way.

First game that's been announced so far is Persona Q for 3DS. Looks like a spin off with Persona 3 & 4 characters.

It's official. Persona 5 is for PS3! (YES!) And it looks like it's going to be darker this time around. Meguro's musical style is definitely in a Nocturne sound (dark ambient). It's coming Winter 2014.

Playing as a prisoner? Man, I knew Hashino said that 5 would very different from the ones before it, but this different? Who could have seen that coming?

It mentions emancipation, so i expect it will be about being chained down by adult life, as opposed to the freedom you have when you're younger. We might see an older cast this time around...

^^That's a pretty cool theory. I like that. And taking into account that Atlus made Catherine, which itself was one big examination of the constraints of being in a serious relationship, it sounds like something they might actually do.

The announcer sounds just like DJ Professor K from Jet Set, except with an accent.
Gave me a fuzzy feeling.
But otherwise... ugh. If Square did something like this people would go nuts with hate, so I hope we don't see a bunch of hypocrisy in that regard just because this is Persona.

Persona 5 is going to take a long time to come out. If it comes out in
Japan in winter 2014 then we have to wait like another 6 -8 months to get it here.

Looks like I better study more Japanese and have my wife play this game with me.

On another note, its just alittle disappointing this isnt coming out on PS4, but its totally understandable why. They've probably been working on it for PS3 already for awhile and the install base is larger. Either way, im sure the PS3 version will still be visual eye candy. PS3 is still such a great machine and I know im not putting it down for many many years to come regardless of me having a PS4 and XBO already.
