Sonic is SEGA. Also that has nothing do with it and yet again not a NF despite what you want to believe and not falling for the insults. Tho it kinda makes me laugh. Not I find this just as stupid as waggle,Kinect,Eyetoy,3D on 3DS. Developers need to focus on more Q & A and polish and less gimmicks that includes Nintendo. Not even sure why you brought retro or the NF thing into this as it has nothing to do with anything. Just that every gimmick people get hyped over then they get it boast about it then few months later don't touch it.
We have more bugs and glitches this era than the NES one. Also I hate that 3DS has 3D as most games now looks like ass because they cut the power in half to make it 3D which is just nauseating to look at. Not sure how RE Rev did it but seems the only game not to look like a crusty asshole in 3D.

Tho mitts again you make me chuckle as you told me the other day not to get into the insults then you lay on the insults  SD never changes

The 3DS has some great games in 3D. Might suggest Legend of Zelda, Resident Evil, Paper Mario, and and Kid Icarus? It's not gonna me eye popping all the time. It's more like, looking into a window... or summat

Eh I have oot on N64/GCN and I'm not a big fan of it. great for the time and all that but now just kinda feels..meh. Mario. No. Hate mario. Kid Icarus is on my list as I like EDF and this screams EDF on 3DS. Despite I hated the NES game. I just play my vita more and like PSP my fave of the two.(well PSP is my fave handheld ever) I just await Xseed and Ys on it. I have in the mean time downloaded a few games on both. Legend of Mana/Threads of fate on Vita and Sould of Darkness/Mega Man/Mighty Switch force on 3DS

I said don't take it to heart or owt. No one's exempt from me callin them out. And doin it a little more colourful than others just makes it a more interesting read. And as I say time and time again, more code means more will slip through the net. You honestly can't compare QA (not "and" btw) nowadays to how it was a quarter of a century ago.

As for this "new gimmick", please tell me how being able to see more of an environment is stupid. Imagine being able to expand your peripherals. Without looking like a wide-eyed freak, of course. I just find it incredibly funny how you dismiss any form of innovation as a "stupid gimmick."

And of course I know Sonic's a SEGA character, so stop tryin to make your mam out to be a pedo by insinuating I was born yesterday.

I don't see it much different then Wii U & the VMU. We never needed to see beyond the TV. Now devs like Nintendo MS & Sony either want more screens or more to look at but it becomes distracting to look up and down or look at my window or front door to see more when we never needed it. I esp wonder how this would work for people like Sonikku who use a projector as their main viewing source. I don't see what's innovative. All I see is the shock and awe factor that is temporary. Not saying it does not have a use of some sort but in gaming or movies I don't see it. All these gimmicks were called "innovative" at some point then gimmicks later. How will this work in bright rooms? I saw nothing in the video that shows it's useful. Just some extended background that we won't be stretching out necks to look at. Tho might be cool for star gazing like a home planetarium.

Wii U like DS can have a few purposes like in Darksiders or ZombiU. While I loved the Rayman Legends demo at Best Buy and at first was not bothered by the looking up and down..now it does as DS looking 1 inch up is far from 3 feet and this looking all around the room...eh sounds like a pain in the neck. Seriously. Not sure we have had anything truly innovative since analog. Sure Wii remote had a couple good uses like Metroid Prime 3 and Kinect can be a fun family jump around thing and a cool piece of tech. However none of this has truly said we NEEDED this in gaming to take the industry forward in how games are designed and played. The entire philosophy behind game design seems that it has not changed too much in console game development since analog. I do see indie games being more of the revolution than any 3D,Kinect,Waggle has done IMO. I also kinda see many of these gimmicks as similar to games of the 80's and 3D games of the early 90's. They are not sure what to do with it yet. They keep throwing things out but not much is sticking. It's still in experimental phases it seems to me.

In fact check this vid out

Immersion. Simple. And if you're seriously suggesting that they need to make this compatible with bright rooms then you must be filling in for Riku as a troll cunt.

Dave I have not insulted you once so relax. This thing falls in with the video. Yes I do as it again falls in with the disconnect.

Now now girls you're both pretty. I can see the concerns, remember the Peter Molyneux thread, Mittz had a lot of the same fears and anxieties concerning the WiiU and Smartglass. I like the way ZombiU has handled it and having the system for a bit now I haven't had much of a problem with multi screens (it made Batman a lot easier to play since all I had to do was raise the screen up a bit and I could see the map enough to keep my eye on the fight)

it might work it might not, it might be immerse or it might be distracting.

Only if done poorly. Also i believe the vid you posted was simply for advertising the many films you can get off PSN? Which uses a lot of tricks to pull it off while this requires a Kinect and what ever the sensor is you put on the back of the tv.

The main stuff you need to see would still be on the screen but imagine this. Playing Silent Hill and it makes the walls around you start peeling away or a fog effect as you enter the town.
Or lets just say Shenmue HD came out and the room looked like the dojo one moment, harbor another or Gulin and all the other places.

And we know you would nerd the fuck out if you could play Sonic games and have your room looking like green hill zone one minute then the casino night zone the next.

The Molyneux topic was a little different though, wasn't it? Questions were raised about the whole idea behind the Wii-U's primary selling point, the tablet controller. It wasn't dismissed as some gimmicky piece of shit, I just genuinely believed (and still do) that it's going to be brilliant in the hands of a studio who can and want to make good use of it, whilst others will just throw something in there to check the box.

This projector seems a little more straight-forward in the sense that it just gives you more options on screen. It obviously calculates the size of the room in proportion to the TV and projects images from the game that you otherwise wouldn't be able to see. Is it necessary? No, but when assessing an area in a game, it will be great. The best thing is that it isn't highly detailed, which put more focus on the idea of it being your peripheral vision. If this same basic concept is used on every release, then it'll be brilliant for games like FIFA, and even better for stealth games.

The thing that did my head in though is Ryudo's constantly bangin on about bein some old skool gaming vet or some shit, wavin his stick like an old man with all his "back in my day" talk saying "this was done in the 90s n never took off" or "CoD is just some bullshit played by kids." If you're gonna debate something, debate it, but posting ignorant comments and then going so far as to claim that developers and publishers are ignorant to gamers... well, I know we're all hypocrites, but to be so blatant about it whilst consistently claiming to have some sort of infinite wisdom about games... just rubs me the wrong way, y'know?

You might be confusing me with Dorian as I have no infinite wisdom on games. It's just games no higher plain or anything on code and plastic toys. Dorian was the one who claimed that then went on how Peter and you and me don't understand gaming like he does then left in a tissy fit.

Edit found it

Oh, I'm not talkin on a religious-type worship level, more like an old guy who goes on like he's a war vet even though he never enlisted.

And Dorian still lurks, y'know.

Apologies if I come off that way. I just have a lot of passion and often oblivious how that passion can sound. Tho yes was not long ago I was acting like a dick on this place. This thread I did not go about 90's is better (btw the rpg thing was satire why I did that Dr Light post)or anything just my thoughts why I believed this won't innovate. We both put up our thoughts. We both disagree so I will agree to disagree.

As for Dorian. Good. He's still a knob head.

Will probably see Lionheads MMO which is said to be a Fable MMO.[Lionhead are now run by former Rare chief Scott Henson]

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/32 ... ngine-mmo/

Also from a new interview with Phil Harrison its seems MS are starting to take their first party titles more seriously again and are looking to expand.

If we don't see anything from The Last Guardian I'm putting it in the never gonna happen section.
